Now that they mention it, the AA really is top notch. I barely noticed it at all. There are some drops to 20 but that really is just for really heavy action and not for long.
They didn't mention the heavy blur though. Not only for distances but also motion. It's not always noticeable but sometimes.

Motion blur and depth of field? They are post-processing effects. Makes it look more cinematic

It felt more like covering up for a lack of something.

Not the blur I am talking about. I haven't noticed any covering up. This is what people said about the fog in earlier screens/trailers, but they are just effects.

Depth of field is dynamic for example. One second it's "covering something up" and the other it's not, because the focus changed. That is proof that it isn't to cover something up.

Motion blur pretty much is never used to cover something up. It requires more power to use than if you didn't have it.

If that's true then I hate them even more for using it.

wtf, I thought it was locked to 30!?!

Sounds great.

The absolute best news is the 1080p and that it uses great Anti Aliasing. Image quality is the most important part of graphics imo

this game is hands down the best looking and technical game out.

Certainly on consoles yes it really looks amazing. Not near the most technical game if you take PC into account but that doesnt really matter, im super impressed with what Ive seen of Second Son. PS4 games in 2 or so years are going to be beautiful.

I cannot believe a game that isnt linear looks like this x_x

I've noticed frame rate drops a few times to many (only with smoke though so far). It has detracted from the experience for me. Also got stuck inside a wall/building then fell below to my death. Apart from those issues I've been impressed with the graphics, even wanting to stop during combat to look at the environment.

That's what's most impressive about this. There aren't even many linear games on consoles that can compete with this. The draw distance is also way better than what I expected. I'm most happy about the AA because playing inFamous 1 now, it's a jagged mess.

4 ≈ One

Been Stopping and taking the time to enjoy the vistas. Plays and looks beautiful. Great game so far.

I don't understand why they just didn't lock it at 30 FPS, seems strange to me.

I suppose to lock it they would need to use double or tripple buffering, which adds to the input lag. In a 30fps game that can be 67-100ms of additional lag, if they buffer up to 3 frames, but if they buffer less the 30 will be less consistent.
