Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Has So Much to Show at E3 They’re Having to “Move Stuff Out” of the Show

Some people on VGC are just like a dumped ex, furiously trying to get back MS.

Let me guess..... They paid more developers to go exclusive? I haven't seen a hot internally made new IP from them in years.

Why not? Spending money to succeed worked for Sony until they ran out of money.

Sony isn't going to out moneyhat Microsoft, they'll just out perform them.

Nice try at deflecting from the moral of the story. Which, of course, is that you mind 0 when Sony moneyhats. Only when MS does the moneyhatting does it become disgusting American greed.

And I agree, Sony will put out a lot of games that get a lot of hype then meh reviews and poor sales as the fanbase who spent months hyping the games and using them in list wars somehow forget to go out and buy them.

If last gen was any indication anyway.

Microsoft really should have alot to show assuming the rumors are true:

  • Quantum Break gameplay
  • Sunset Overdrive gameplay
  • Fable Legends gameplay
  • Forza Horizon 2 gameplay
  • Halo 2 Anniversary gameplay
  • Halo 5 beta announcement and possibly pre-alpha gameplay or another teaser trailer
  • Multiple Japanese exclusives as mentioned by Phil Spencer
  • New games from Microsoft's unaccounted for 1st party studios (Good Science Studio, Kids and Lifestyle Entertainment, Leap Experience Pioneers, Playful Learning, Xbox Live Productions, Lift London, Soho Productions, BigPark)
  • Possible 2nd/3rd party exclusive announcements
  • Possible teaser trailers for Gears of War, Crackdown 3, and Lionhead's new IP
  • Xbox TV announcements
  • Indie games (several studios signed on to ID@Xbox haven't announced games yet, including big name indie devs like Playdead)

Crackdown 3! I'm excited.

TV, TV, TV, Sports, Sports, Call of Duty?

I'm still waiting for it to become watercooler, maybe this year

Did you watch last years E3?? There was none of that. No COD, no Sports, no TV.

Yes I remember, it was pre-E3, found it extremely funny they could talk so long about everyting else but the games. The highlight clip made it absolutely hillarious, was like Sonys Riiidge racer and enemy crab clip. :P

Hopefully they have more true exclusives this year not just showing games that were shown last year or multiplats and talk very little about the features of the xbox.

Um...no. Sony does not moneyhat on par with Microsoft. Microsoft has proven that less exclusives and more third party exclusivity is the way to go for them. Sony since they lost a lot of exclusivity has only increased their first party by leaps and bounds since the PS2 era. If you haven't noticed the difference you're denying what has been going on before you for about six or seven years now.

Not like in their PS1/2 days, because they don't make enough money to. We covered that already.

Um the most infamous moneyhat Sony has every pulled off against Microsoft was the GTA moneyhat. Since then there really hasn't been much of note. Everything since then has been all Microsoft on multiple offenses. Since then Sony has had been playing DLC in defense with Microsoft with Activision by partnering with Ubisoft. Microsoft has been expanding their moneyhatting efforts to most of what EA has to offer for the new gen anyway.

Hard to moneyhat without the money.

That makes me very very happy, I am hoping for real horror games, good indies, solid RPGs and nice strategy games. Here´s to hoping! =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Exclusive content in AC IV and Watch Dogs? Kingoms Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD exclusively on PS3? I'm pretty confident that Sony moneyhatted both of those deals, they'd be foolish for Ubisoft and Square Enix to make otherwise. Both Microsoft and Sony are guilty of plenty of moneyhatting.

I added that. They moneyhatted DLC in retaliation to Microsoft whom has been doing it with EA and Activision. Ubisoft is their primary partner right now for DLC.
