Haha, I know what you mean. I have even started saying stuff like that to my cats and infant son, hopefully mostly as a joke. "Cat, mute." LOL
Watching other TVs really sucks because you have to get up to find the remote if you sit down without it.
hopefully that 80% will get to 95% with future updates, also surprised that people are still paying for cable these days

Man, I really suck at Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros. My first MGS game, and it's fun. But I suck at it. I climbed the light tower, grabbed the guard from behind, and then let him go when I thought I was breaking his neck. He cried out 'Intruder!' so I shot him, slung his body over my shoulders, ran into the camp after picking the lock, and then crouched along, running with this guy's body over my shoulder I didn't know how to set down while people shot me. Some first attempt. Oh wait, second. First, I accidentally stepped backwards over the ledge and hung there. In trying to figure out which button would get me back up on top (I know what it is now) I let go of the ledge and fell to my doom. So, my first two tries were crap.
It was really fun, but I need to learn the controls a bit better.

LOL if it was only on my PC.... it's everywhere in my house for me lol
I live in an appartment right now and I smoke at the window with a fan on and turn it off when I'm done.... I did try to say "XBox turn off" or something like that several times to the fan lol.... or when I'm at my parents house when they are away to watch the pets I always take a couple days to not use voice command on the TV....
I feel exactly like you for the rest... UI alone is why I love kinect... even when I'm on the 360, it's a pain in the ass to switch from a game to another or to an app like netflix or hulu and same for volume up or down... I hope we will see more and more voice controlled device in houses in the future... man if I could order my coffe machine from the bedroom or the bathroom in the morning.... well pretty much like in sci fi movies or tech demo like Microsoft future home... ask your smart house to tell you your daily schedule... read your e-mails while you brush your teeth.... etc etc

The op summarizes why I am going to buy the X1 perfectly. Happy to see that Kinect works well.
I am also really enjoying my Xbox One. The instant switching makes the Xbox One OS ahead of anything else out there. To be playing a game like Forza and instantly go to a show like WWE Raw and then instantly go back to Forza that's sitting right there where you left it is the best feature I have seen this gen on any console.
Xbox is a better family/family man's console. I always believed that.
I am starting to enjoy my xbox one a lot more now but I rarely if ever use the voice commands. I mostly play Wii U and ps4, but this past week I haven't touched either one because of xbox one. Titanfall is an addictive game, I've spent a little time with DR3, it's good but not as good as I hoped.
Overall I think the Xbox One is a great system. I hate the Netflix app though.
