I got an Xbox One at launch, and my family has used it extensively every day.

The voice commands, while not 100% accurate, work far more than 80% of the time. Being able to say 'Xbox, Watch AMC' from anywhere in the console instead of fumbling through the cable box guide system to find the channel is super awesome. In fact, in every way, the TV passthrough feature works better than I hoped. The ability to leave a game 'hanging,' switch to blu-ray player or netflex and then back to a game that was waiting in suspension,  is incredibly helpful. Kinect works well, having a built-in camera for Twitch is excellent, and Kinect Sports Rivals comes out in just a couple weeks. Nice to go all digital on a system, and load games without getting up. (Hope for that USB3.0 enabled ext Hard Drive support to come up soon.) 

The games are excellent. I've really enjoyed Peggle 2 (first game I've got every acheivement on!) and Titanfall, in addition to Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Xbox Fitness Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Strider, Halo: Spartan Assault. and Killer Instinct.

Project: Spark is incredible. Motion Capturing your own digital character is super awesome. Making a weird warrior dude do a ridiculous dance is super amusing.

Skype calls are great, built in apps like TED Talks, YouTube, and Xbox Video (GREAT to use my Android Phone to send files from my upstairs PC to the Xbox One via DLNA streaming - no 'Play To' required) really rock. 

All in all, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. The device makes a great blu ray player with many useful settings like color bit-depth and 24hz mode, which help you get the most out of your picture quality.

I'm super pumped about future updates and games. I am particularly pumped to give Kinect Sports Rivals a go.

Great review and input! I going mostly all digital with my purchases this gen and had been mostly last gen already as well. Its definitely nice having a big enough hard drive to support that early on in the gen. Later on upgrades will be needed USB support would be great. I put a 1TB HDD in my ps3 and have over 100 games on it! The GUI and "apps" of the Xone I think are really appealing I'd like to see / hear more about the apps. I liked the ps3 gui a bit more than the ps4 gui as like i previously stated having over 100 games the ps4 gui will be horrendous in its current state... I was able to have all my games organized by "folder' which I labeled by genre and that made browsing through the games a lot easier to manage.

I'm glad to hear you are satisfied with your purchase! also could you go into more detail about apps on the xone. I've never had a MS console, but the Xone is the most appealing to my by far. The 360 became more appealing later on, but by that point to late to buy just for a couple games and getting so close to this gen. I know there were some features I never heard or read about being advertised with XBL that made it more appealing and meaningful of the subscription.

Yeah, poor wii u... But my wii u will get some love when smash bros and x are released...

I pretty much feel the same way (except Kinect isn't as reliable for me). The X1 really is a incredible machine IMO.

I suffer from Kinect withdrawal. When I'm on my Pc and am watching Netflix, I say 'Xbox, pause." Then it doesn't listen. I get mad that I have to grab the mouse to pause the show. When I'm watching TV and watching something in the bedroom, I find myself saying "Xbox volume up" or "Xbox rewind." Then I realize I don't have an Xbone in the bedroom. I then have to fumble through blankets and pillows to find the remote. I want to tell everything what to do now without using my hands. I don't really care for Kinect and games. I just like it for the UI
