Lol really? How when you're the only one responding to it ;)

Lol yes really?  You don't have to reply to a comment to entice people to leave a hit and run post. The thread had nothing to do with Sony and leaving a comment like that, your going to get people like Lawlight coming in and saying something MS losing in the gaming department. But whatever, carry on..

Wow, way to assume that I have that much power over someone's posting.

Why didn't they do this earlier?

Bringing the most used stand-alone office software to a rival OS and tablet wasn't really the best of interest for MS.. in the past.. Office should have been their killer app for their tablet.. but since they were way too late to the tablet party and with Office turned into a software as service model there isn't really a barrier anymore not to release it.. imo every piece of software (even games) will use a service model in the future making the device which it runs on non-important..

Said the same thing in Sony threads, if it isn't Playstation related why should we care?

Take this news for instance, the health of the parent company isn't going to reflect on Xbone, if Xbone does badly is nothing stopping MS from dropping it.  Unless we hear PS4/Xbone is doing good/bad or that something is directly affecting them it is all worthless info to a gamer.  Sony losing money on TVs isn't news a gamer should care about, TVs aren't going to end Playstation.

Does someone with a gun force you into these threads?

Why should anyone interested in gaming care about this?

This is the gaming section of forums, this should be in off topic.

No.  This is the microosft news section.

Its in exactly the right place.

And why wouldn't gamers be interested.  The financial health of a parent company is crucial.

You cant be that naive surely?

I didnt see you in any of the more neagtive microsoft news items posted in this part of the forum saying this.... odd that isnt it.

Exactly if SNE had a massive jump, I guarentee their would be a new thread in Sony discussion talking about how Sony is finally turning it around, but as we all know that simply isn't the case.

Is this really something to care about?  This is a forum, we can talk about whatever we want.  We have threads about poltics, wars, celebrities, getting into a fight, etc.  this topic is at least somewhat related to gaming.  Next time somebody makes a thread about boobes, you going to go in and tell everybody they need to start talking about video games?

This crap floods the hot-topic and makes its filter pointless.

Yeah.. its hard to just not click on the threads you don't like.. that filter in your mind isn't working.. think about what you are complaining about.. isn't it a bit of wasted time you could have spend in threads you do like?

Microsoft Discussion.

Well it's supposed to be..

So in one day..they gained 70% of Sony's whole Market cap? lol"

It seems that you don't know the context of "Microsoft Discussion". He said it was under Gaming when its not.

My Market Cap comment is a comparison. Don't act like Microsoft doesn't come up in Sony/Nintendo discussions.

It is a gaming website, not a business or market website.  Anything not directly gaming related is off-topic, doesn't matter if it is MS or Sony news, if it isn't Playstation or Xbox related it is off-topic.

Only reasons the sections aren't labled 'Playstation' 'Xbox' 'Nintendo' is because there are multiple consoles and Vgchartz decided to group it into three sections instead of one for each console like some other gaming sites chose to.  Doesn't not warrant every off-topic non-gaming bit of Sony or MS news be posted.

You dont make the rules of what people can and can't post on the site. If it has something to do with Microsoft, then its directly connected to Xbox. So unless you're a mod then you have no say in what we post.

Would be great if the last bit came true. An android Nokia phone and now office for the iPad makes me think MS is slowly waking up to this. Give it a few more years and there will be office on Linux (native).

The truth is with google offering similar services for "free" on all platforms MS had no choice but to react.

This is good news for iPad users that would find it useful but I will wait to see how many of them who have done without it for years really care.

Oops...

What do you suggest this Microsoft news be categorised as instead of MICROSOFT DISCUSSION?  Like I said before, all Microsoft news is directly connected to Xbox.

Well they can. TV loss is still a  loss for Sony. Too big of a loss will be the end of Sony and therefore potentially the end of Playstation.
