Considering how it needs less than 40% of the sales of the DS game to reach the mark, I give it a greater than 50% chance of doing so. Especially since Yoshi's Island, despite the hardcore fanbase, seems to be aimed at non-review-reading audiences more than nostalgic fans.

sadly i think Yoshi will beat Kid Icarus which is sad since KI:U is the biggest surprise 3ds has gave to me. totally a must have.
Yoshi is always nice though. i cant hate on Yoshi even if its a mediocre game.

I'm pretty sure the mediocre reviews wont have much impact on the target audience. Seems like it's aimed at youngsters who won't know the difference anyway. I'm confident it'll sell 1.75 mil... Btw What is it with Yoshis Island goddamn it? Why do Nintendo constantly fail to give it a decent sequel despite several attempts?
