Eh, 6-7 million seems high, although possible. I think it will be more like 4-5 million. I definitely dont think it will outsell titanfalls combined sales, but maybe the x1 version...

On a side note, I am having the hardest time trying to convince people that have never played infamous to give ss a try. There is very low interest from my family and friends. Of course that doesnt mean anything because it is completely anecdotal, but it does paint a picture of how hard it can be to expand an established ip.

Those of you saying sequels don't improve on sales from a prequel..

God of war III sold more than any other god of war on ps2..

Uncharted 2 outsold Uncharted 1.. and I believe Uncharted 3 sold as well or more than UNCH 2

KZ2 outsold KZ1..


only reason shadowfall is still at less than 3 million(it probably is very close to that number today) is because not only did it not review well.. but people have CALL OF DUTY and BATTLEFIELD as options..

Infamous is competing with....? Infamous is looking to have higher reviews than killzone as well.. and the visuals are up there with killzone too

I believe infamous is going to be a huge ip..

NO ONE expected Uncharted 2 to completely turn that franchise into one of sony's biggest franchises..
R2 was supposed to do that for resistance

Although Infamous 1 didn't get past 3 million and Infamous 2 didn't get past 2 million in sales, I think Second Son can sell to 4 million lifetime. If you're a PS4 owner, you are starved for a new AAA game. Also, although the PS4 install base is currently low, there are no other new competing AAA games around this time period.

Not a fan of the Infamous 1 or 2 and my impression of SS is that it's the same old with better presentation, still looks boring to me and so I don't think it will grow the franchise much unless it's actually a huge improvement.

You'll soon have to add this predicition to the tally, I'm sure. Those two predictions are the most outrageous ones, too.. so they are what I judge by. I'm afraid I don't remember much else.

I'd be pretty surprised if it sold more than 4m actually. I think Titanfall will sell more ltd, if only because it's a multi plat.
