hard to believe, first of all, it's Capcom.
second: RE still is very popular in Japan, and Xbox doesn't exist there.

Probably just a crappy rumour. The only way I would see this as a possibility would be if MS actually bought Capcom, making all their games exclusive to Xbox and PC. And that won't happen :)

The problem is: both RE5 and RE6 sold more on PS3 than 360, not to mention, PS4 is seling more than One currently.

I don't see a game that sells more on Sony consoles gonig to be a One exclusive.

I think Re 6 was not even that bad. Re 7 should just be more Survival Horror again.
I am sure it will also be released for ps4 not only Xbox1

Capcom will lose one of it's biggest markets if it chooses the XB1 for RE7, specially considering how interested Japanese gamers are still in the franchise. It will lose a LOT of money whether Microsoft funds them or not specially for a game as big and expensive as RE. Dead Rising was never popular in Japan, and it's best selling version of the game? The ps3 version of Dead RIsing 2.
