Forums - Nintendo - Does anyone really actually care about Bayonetta 2?

I dunno what you're talking about. The game looks freaking awesome. 'Course I'm interested.

I think the game looks fun but I have a question. Is the main character a lesbian? I'm just curious. I'm not hateful towards gays, I love them as people and children of God and they are sinners just like everybody else but I don't like it when games have agendas that I don't agree with so does anyone know anything about this from the first game? Guildwars 2 just shoved this type of thing down my throat. Again I'm not trying to deprive people from their right to be gay, I just personally am against it and don't want it shoved down my throat in games or movies. Much love all.

I don't know, but I hope she is now.

By the way, sticking "much love all" at the end of your comment doesn't make it any less ignorant or offensive.

How does my comment make me ignorant? Ignorant of what exactly? Certainly not what the Bible says on homosexuality or all the other sins. And how does this make me offensive? I'm not making fun of gays or saying rude things about them. I'm just stating that it's not something I agree with based on my faith in Jesus Christ. And I do say all this out of love, otherwise I would have said a bunch of hateful words. I care about people's souls and that is what I'm supposed to be doing in this life. For the glory of God.

To me it seems that what you got from the Bible is that it is wrong to be gay. That the game is about sensless killing does this not make you reflect on one of the 10 BIG commandments in the beginning of the Bible?

Oh there are NUMEROUS things about many videogames now days that are horrible, and I've expressed my hatred of many of those qualities plenty of times before (particularly on the raping/prostitutes and breaking of all sorts of laws in the grand theft auto games). Don't mistake my expression of my beliefs regarding homosexuality as a limited focus solely on the sin of homosexuality. Everything described in the Bible as a sin is still a sin today (and will be until there is no more sin when Christ reigns forever). I'll admit in my youth I used to play all sorts of horrible games but I have sense almost entirely stepped away from those types of games and reverted to the more appropriate (and still enjoyable) ones.

So if Jessica Alba and Angelina Jolie knocked on your door asking for a bisexual three-in-a-bed sex session you would turn them down, saying it's a sin..?

I think you need to be certified mate lol

I can not express to you how truly revulting not only that scenario is, but the fact that it is considered weird to be against that. I am engaged to my closest sister in Christ and I desire to have relations with NO ONE else on this earth and I won't have relations with her until we are married in July. I can 100% garuntee, as a heterosexual male, that I would either slam the door as soon as they 'offered' that or I would talk with them about why that is wrong. I have 0 desire for that.

In what alternate reality is the game not relevant? Because it's not this one.

I mean, ok, it wasn't some mega blockbuster best selling title but people know it exists. It's around, it had a notable fanbase, it had tons of commercials when it first came out. And it's such a universally hyped up title, still basically considered the pinnacle OF AN ENTIRE GENRE.

I've never liked the idea that only the top 10 best selling games of a particular year are the only ones that matter to anyone. That is incredibly stupid, especially on the internet. I mean, the games hardcore gamers really cared about last year, Bioshock Infinite and Last of Us, weren't even on that top 10 list, so are those games also irrelevant? No, because saying that would be stupid.

Even if Jessica and Angelina were in love..? And both in love with you..? And if all three of you love god..?

God is all about love isn't he..? Denying the right to love to any individual is evil, is it not..? That would be more in Satan's ballpark it seems to me.

It seems to be more than a little disturbing to me that devout christians are denying the right to love to any individual, particularly when it isn't included in those 10 commandments.

I'd rather have a one-on-one with Jessica Alba than a threesome which includes the anorexic and overrated Angelina Jolie.

I care about it as much as I cared about the first one.

@jamesmarkus87: Well I wouldn't kick her out lol. Feel free to change either or both actresses to one(s) of your choice lmfao.

It seems to me that religion in general goes out of its way to stop people from enjoying themselves. I eat what I want, drink what I want, am free to shag whoever I please and play a variety of video games...and am a happier person for it. You only live once, we're here to enjoy ourselves. If there is a big fellah upstairs I'm pretty sure he'd want us to enjoy our lives as long as we're not harming anyone (or at least not consenting adults, children or animals).

I'm getting it. I'm actually really excited for it.

Day 1 buy for me and a step in the right direction for Nintendo to appeal to a bigger audience. Is this going to bring the Wii U a massive following of gamers it doesn't already appeal to? No, but it is a game that grabs peoples interest (including the OP's). You add Smash Bros, X, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and add a few more exclusives that appeal to the larger audience of gamers and who knows.
