This pertains mainly to Indie devs. Companies like Vlambeer, Rovio, Gamevil, etc...

You also have no idea what so ever if any 3rd party exclusives are decent until they release. I learned by lesson from Demon's Souls, which was initially thought to be terrible, only to discover it was incredible, and of course one of my favorite titles of last gen Nier. That title of course wasn't exclusive, but it was still awesome.

Do Sony still have their clause stating that late release on Playstation must have exclusive content? if yes this is pretty hypocrite.

That was never a thing. Extra content, not exclusive. Most of the time it was just the DC from the other version on the same disc. I dont remember what game but I think it just had graphical improvements. Also, hardly hypocritical even if it were exclusive content
