Forums - Gaming - The Witcher 3 Delayed till February 2015

I'm actually glad they gave us a proper time in which we can expect it. At least they said February 2015 instead of something like "Early 2015". I don't particularity mind since it is only a 2-3 month delay. If that is what it takes for the getting the best experience possible: I'm perfectly alright with it.

Meh. Witcher 3 is one of the games which will likely get me to jump into next gen, but I'm fine with a delay if the game's not ready.

Sucks, but I'm OK with it.

On one hand; I'm upset because I'm really looking forward to this but on the other hand, this is probably good news and CDProjekt obviously saw the need for more time to hone the experience, ultimately creating an even better game.

That's also how I feel.

I think, they know that hype this time is too high to make the mistake they did with the first game and kind of did again with the second. Both of them had several patches and fixes after release. Let's hope this time the launch game is already the "Platinum" or "Enhanced" version of the game.

:-/

Yeah, especially the first one had some issues and was quite poorly balanced at some points.

well damnit. it was looking pretty damn good. I rather it be right, so its not that bad.

Good, I still haven't finished the second one!

In time to give me The Witcher 1080p Collection this holiday before I play The Witcher 3.

More and more games get delayed nowadays. I wonder why? I wonder if it's because they are being 'revealed' too early or that they should just lower their ambitions a bit.

Pretty much everyone wants to release their game as early as possible and even more before or at the start of the holiday season. Delaying a game to February means that they REALLY needed that additional time or else it would've been a bug fest or a lot of things that weren't finished would've been cut out.

Yeah, anyone who played Gothic 3 in its first month or so will attest to the fact that delays can be a good thing. Doubly so for open-world games.

Thanks god, after the recent reports of quiting developers because they would rush the game. Quality takes time and all the Rareware Masterpieces back in the N64 days were delayed for perfection.

It's a shame that it was delayed, but honestly this course of action was probably the best. It means The Witcher 3 will be that much better.
