Games are games are games, some games are good some are bad. Just because a game is so called AAA doesn't mean it would be good and just because it is indie doesn't mean it would be creative or whatever it is people expect from indie games.

There are games made these days with million dollar budgets and a lot of resources being over 12gigs in size that can't hold a candle to a game made 20yrs ago with just 3mb.

I only play them when I just want to play for half an hour or so and not get into the game.

Fully? No, not even close, but I do find myself appreciating them more and more. Only a few years back; I considered Indie games to be pretentious crap but a combination of heightened quality and me becoming a lot more open-minded towards it has led to a huge wake-up call.
Some of the most amazing games I've played in the last 5-6 years have been Indie titles.

Rarely. Most of the supposedly good indie games are trash, often times they try to emulate games of the past, but fail on pretty much all fronts. So aside from a few exceptions, it's better to look through Virtual Console and get some old game that you never played. Like Monster World IV, that is a good game.

Like many, I fear I may have stumbled into a trap when I quote you, but is this really a good game?  And is it available on WiiU VC?

They do for some genres. I think I could live with Horror games only from Indies but not yet with something like Ego-Shooters

But better is to get games from Indies and companies like Ubisoft in every genre. As more sources as better.

what I like about indies is that they are very focused on gameplay, lots of games this days focus too much on presentation and graphics, which most of the time make me feel I should just watch a $5 movie instead of "playing" a $68 game, but anyways I like all types of games, and everything comes down to individual games: I like some indies more than some AAA and viceversa

No.

indie>>>>>>>>>>AAA all the way

Cheap games with creative approaches, wise and inventive gameplay, challenging level design and cool art ?

Yes, please. We need variety. And lately indie games are providing that for home consoles.

Of course, handhelds are a different story... they have lots of great indie games and lots of great big publishers games as well.

I love 2D platformers.
So, indies add a great value!

Im happy with nintendo games and indies.
