It doesn't hurt, especially when it's not true. Sony doesn't just put their employees on the street when they sell a building, they replace it by buying another building.

The notion for some time has been that their new Kyoto building was going to be bigger to house more development staff. You know.............for games.

But hey, doom away folks, it's what yer good at, amiright?

I think a big part of the problem is that the new HQ looks way too much like the old HQ. Even the names are similar. Casual fans will have no idea that it's an all-new HQ. They should have gone with a new design direction and included mor RAM, then maybe they would get more third party support.

This new building will be 100% dedicated to games of the Cranky epic so their development time doesn't go over 7 years.

The things people would say cause it's Nintendo.  And once one say it, a bunch of mini-mii's  jump on the wagon.  Nobody says that about Final Fantasy.  Nobody would say that about GTA.  Nintendo is just a company that make games for its hardware.  It puzzle me to read  your post.
