Forums - Gaming - Titanfall vs Towerfall Ascension (87 vs 90 Metacritic so far!)

I didn't even know what towerfall was before clicking this thread lol, it looks really fun though xD

Towerfall is more likely to have a large drop since it has so few reviews at the moment. 6 more reviews could vastly change Towerfall's score while they would barely change Titanfall unless they were 2's and 3's. My bet would be Towerfall will end up below Titanfall.

How can so many people not know what the Ouya Top rated exclusive game was. Dont pretend you dont all have Ouya's

Why is everyone so obsessed with falling?

It's currently rating 92 on PS4 but for some reason they didn't count Polygon's review. But yes I'm expecting it to drop down quite a bit (if it ever gets any more reviews that is)

That's very true and I thought about mentioning it, could be that Towerfall will just stay at 6-7 reviews and have an arguably inflated score.  It's the same reason that if you look at the top rated games any given month they're always mobile titles with a single digit number of reviews.

Polygon's review probably isn't counted because they didn't touch the PS4 version and only played it on PC.  Technically Metacritic's new policy is that they'll only count a review from a site once so they have to pick which platform they played the most.  If you look I believe the lists for the PC version and the PS3 version for which sites reviewed them are completely unique with no site being counted twice.

Yup this is why titanfall PC is on 0 reviews still

I was excited about Towerfall, but no online multiplayer? What year are we living in? Am I too entitled for thinking that all games with multiplayer should have online capabilities?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I'm the opposite of most people, i can care less about online multiplayer. Just give me a good and decently long story and i'm happy.

I think the game is multiplayer oriented. So It's contradicting its own purpose.

Maybe it's just trying to get people to leave their house for some local multiplayer, like back in the day.

Yeah this game is really just all about local mutlplayer similar to Nidhogg for PC.  That said, I saw a Game Grumps video for Towerfall and it looked hilariously fun so I'll probably be buying it.  Just wish I had more PS4 controllers.
