Nintendo fans know what they want and they are a great community. They don't constantly act entitled by creating multiple petitions, they don't look at others' consoles to compare them down to a chip of paint, they are satisfied when Nintendo provide enough 1st party content and don't have to look at what neighbors have. If that's Nintendo fans you're talking about, I see no problem on X community becoming like that. No They don't know what they want, because if they did they should've told Nintendo and got it delivered so they could have actual console sales. Gamer's should be entitlted, its our money they want to take, being complacent and satisfied with a company especially in the gaming industry is idiotic and more distarous then the loss of competiton. The ONLY reason consoles even exist, is because PC aren't as convient. The Gaming industry is a media/service industry, absolutely none of it is essential and consoles are a luxury. So there is no such thing as Entitlement here. The day people stop asking for more is the beginning of the end. X consoles are more than graphic cards update, you'll never wrap your head around that. What the hell are you talking about, why can't you think of gaming innnovations other than graphics card updates? The OG Xbox brought HDD and Online to the console realm. That is fcking amazing, and now every console has a hdd and online. Where is MS spending all that money for XB1, HDMI in? Kinect upgrade? Snap Feature? How does Sony have more dev studios then Microsoft. How is Sony investing More than Microsoft is? |

Its as easy as dropping the Kinect. Simple, but of course Microsoft has yet to prove its value and they are still holding back the Xbox Ones sales because of it.

Sony and Nintendo have bigger fanbases than MS. It makes sense that they would see more flack for things than Microsoft does.

Bull shit. It might have SEEMED like there was more outrage, but that's only because 100% of people affected by the PSN hack were people who could come online and bitch about it. Many RROD victims were naturally people who don't come online. If there wasn't an extremely large amount of bitching about RROD, MS wouldn't have spent a billion dollars fixing it.

Kind of like how many Sony fans blame MS for Sony charging for online play? Either way, this part is just opinionated. Furthermore it goes back to point #1. Sony has a larger userbase around the world. If two companies are doing the same thing, you'll see more bitching about the one with the bigger userbase.

Same as Nintendo practically abandoned the GCN in the first year of the Wii? That's the thing, companies don't typically support things that don't sell very well or lose them money.

So... because they are a good business that makes money, they should become a bad business and lose money? Brilliant logic. You should have tl;dr your post and just said fans of these companies edit and adapt their opinions depending on what their companies do. You could make this same list for Nintendo and Sony fans.
I was purposely vague about RROD vs PSN Hack because the difference is that MS knew about the failure rates before hand and still decided to go ahead, there was not much Sony could do to prevent PSN from being hacked through a security exploit, but they took the network down themselves to fix the problem, and gave people free games for it.
Like I said, continue to defend Microsoft's bullsh1t, its unfortunate that we can't count on them to improve the industry cause they are busy getting away with it.
Investments cost money, but they also give the most returns.
But I'm not even arguing about how bad MS is. I'm talking about how much tolerable their fan base is of what Xbox does. Xbox stopped being the underdog with the 360. Excuses are made for days.
If Sony announced DRM in February, I can guarantee that the internet would be lit up in outrage. MS waited till preorders to flip their drm switches.
Until Xbox sells a console above 100 million, they haven't earned the right to be arrogant, so just because you can draw parallels to Sony (2005), you have to realize the underlying bullsh1t that's been there from the beginning.

They could've chosen other games, but they had to choose two games with microtransactions. (i don't even know why i commented)
Why do they complain? They can buy a second XBOne and get their free game.
