seems like their afraid to let any info get out too soon. i mean, we have a leak of 15 maps but we still don't have confirmation of what's included on the retail disc. are all 15 on the disc or are some of those part of the 3 "content" packs in the season pass?

15Maps on disc 5 modes.

i've seen the leaks, i've not seen EA or respawn confirm them as being availible as part of the initial purchase..  i have, however, read an article where respawn refused to comment when directly asked about the number of maps and modes included.

if i'm wrong, link me to the statement because i can't find it.

I just looked through the guide. Dont know why DLC would have named maps, outlines and strageties already

guide?   i've seen the leak and then the titanfall offical site lists 2 maps and 3 modes.  same as the beta i believe.

Late embargos are always a bad sign.

Nah, I doubt that. I'll be very surprised if any of the big sites give this game anything less than an 8.5. MS probably made sure of that.

the embargo lifts when the game does, not after it does. They wont be able to magically write the article in 1 second. The articles would have already been written by the time the servers are up.

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

how the hell is this worrying?

Mass effect 3, the last of us,  uncharted 3 reviews came out the morning of release. ( almost if not all, big ips have reviews  out day of release)

stop with the fear mongering BS.

one of the big points of embargos is to give  the major sites a level playing field ( yes some games do it for fear of backlash and negative press).

Yeah IGN already has theirs done by now.

No, most big games have review embargoes these days. They just want all reviews to hit day 1 rather than dribble in over a couple of weeks.

Yes, there is a guide for Titanfall for 24.99 USD. Its thick and has 15map outlines, spawn points and control points. Also 5 game modes mentioned

Late embargo's can be a problem, *BUT* I don't think Titanfall will review badly... in fact the press have been so positive I cannot see it scoring that badly at all (7's will be the lowest, but most will probably be in the 9's). I mean if they reviewed it badly after all their hype, that wouldn't be good at all... so no I don't see this as a problem.

I suspect with it being online only and them not really detailing what the game is all about content wise, I suspect they are just trying to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.

Except that pre-release reviews for online only games are almost worthless.

Why?

See Battlefield 4.

The experience the reviewers had will not be the same millions of players will have when the game is finally released.

Issues will pop up that the reviewers didn't or even couldn't see.

A review the week after release would be fine though.

I dont see titanfall having those kind of issues since it had a beta, but i guess there is a small chance of that happening.

Im less concerned with temporary server issues at launch and more concerned about the core game.  That kind of stuff can be judged ahead of time.

Until the first players find the exploits and make the game an instable hell^^

Can happen to any game.
