"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

So Final-Fan you would have us believe there are plenty of Wiis and that people just aren't buying them? My that's not a dubious claim in the least bit.
Here's the thing: I know it's a joke post, but I don't see the humor.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

If there are plenty of Wii-s out there, someone please direct me to one. My sister wants a unit.

Seriously, this could mark the beginning of the PS3 beating the X360. But it is doubtful it will be able to make up the 10M deficit on the Wii.

This could very well be the year the PS3 makes major gains. But remember, the PS3 and the X360 are going after one group while the Wii is going after everyone else (as well as some in that group). And the "N" group is larger than the PS3/X360 group.

(If you don't believe that, the casual game keynote at GDC talked about how drop-in/drop-out/casual games are becoming dominant. And which system basically plays minigames and short-burst games that purists decry and people love?)

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Yeah, this might be the beginning of the PS3 beating the 360, But I doubt it will be beating the Wii much longer (ie, less than a week). I like the PS3, but the mass appeal of the Wii to the 99% of the population that arent hardcore gamers cant be matched by any other console.

i don't get the logic in stockpiling. i mean, one way or another, the units are going to get sold. stocking them up for a later date won't increase sales, you're just selling something you could have sold months ago in the same fashion. i'm sorry but there is high enough demand for the wii to avoid stock piling.

They are not sotck piling any Wii's and they never have. Besides being quite possibly the dumbest move a company can make, where exactly would they put these things? A warehouse in Japan with a 1million Wii's siitting in it?

It is most likely just a shipping quirk - there's a bunch of Wii's on a trans pacific freighter somewhere. Over a longer time frame than a week it will even out.

Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'

You do realize nearly every company in the world stockpiles products for the holiday season, and yes, they do store them in warehouses. Really really big ones. You'd be surprised.

Though this weeks low sales are not due to stockpiling, because every week they probably keep 25-50k or so, and so we'd never see those one way or the other. What's most likely happening is what you said... the freighters take a while to get here, so next week they'll be a boost.

what is ninty doing they should ship more wiis by now
