I was wondering what your guys (And Girls) choices for a console would be if it only had first party software. This can completly change what someones choice in a console would be, and I wanted to see if you bought your console mainly for first party(And second party) or for the various third party titles.

In other words:  1st and 2nd Party vs. 3rd Party???

If There was only First (And 2nd) Party: My choice would remain the Wii, because that's the first reason I bought it, for the first party and second party titles. At least 75% of Wii's third party games are not worth purchasing to me, where as latly, Nintendos games have been top notch!

If There was only Third Party: I would choose the 360. Some of you may say that the PS3 has many of the same third party stuff, but 360 has many exclusive ones that I like, where as PS3 doesn't have as many, including many PC titles. (Plus there's the price to think about!!)

So what would your console of choice be in each situation? Would you keep the one you have now, or would you get a different system? For you people who own more then one console/PC, just state which one has the best appeal in each situation.

3rd part would be PS3

I think 1st goes to wii
3rd goes 2 360
and a perfect balance goes to ps3

1st Party games on the wii
3rd Party games on the PS3

Also responding to the point you made about Nintendo's quality being better as of late. If you think about it this is the first time since the NES they have not had to "rush" games to the market to keep demand afloat. SSBB is a great example if the Wii was selling like the 64 or GC then I can bet that SSBB would have seen a Fall launch and Galaxy would have been released in August. This extra time they are about to get now is allowing them to put extra care into each game.

1st party PS3 - honeslty with out Gran Turismo i would have never owned a PS console.

3rd PS3 - MGS and FF have never failed me they are must haves.

1st party is definitely Wii. Whether a boon or a bane, there is a reason why Nintendo software sells so well-they really are the best there is at what they do. If they were a third-party, whatever system they developed for would be my pick.

3rd-party Microsoft right now. I just love Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 2 and 4, Condemned, Ninja Gaiden, and others. Though I can see how some people would make a case for Sony, too

I bought Wii mainly for first party games.. pretty much everything else is complete crap.

For 3rd parties forsure 360. They actually take making games seriously on this console instead of rushing a piece of random shovelware out hoping for people to buy it.
