Ouch, not a single PS3 title in the top 50.

People aren't buying the PS3 for games, they're buying it for Blu-ray

Doesn't sound like they are excited about either.

Brain Academy sold another 40k again, so maybe this will have some legs like like BT did for the DS. That was what I was most interested in finding out, software-wise.

What's great about DS software sales is so many of these big sellers are third party titles, bucking trends from previous Nintendo systems that were dominated so much by Nintendo games. Number 1, 2, and 9 on the software charts are third party DS games.

DS and Wii each outselling PSP and PS3 8:1 respectively, craziness.

As has been mentioned hundreds of times, in previous generations good exclusive third party games were not released in any large quantity to Nintendo platforms so Nintendo (basically) had a monopoly on good games on their platform. Had Square, Enix, Capcom, Konami and/or other major publishers focused more of their high-quality development on the N64 or Gamecube they would have sold (far) more software.
