I tried that, but the site changed it to 1 when I went to checkout.

You don't go to checkout, you change it to 999 in edit your cart part. If it lets you have 999 then there is still over 999 in stock, if it doesn't then it puts it down to however many they have left. For some reason if you change it in checkout it only lets you buy 1.

u dont need to go to checkout, all hapens in the edit basket screen,
