There is far more competition on the ps4 compared to the PS3's launch. COD and Battlefield have eaten into Killzone's market and are either hot on its heels (BF4) or outselling it (COD). There are plenty more competitive fps for PS4 players to choose from then there were for PS4. Resistance also sold its numbers because it was the only well received ps3 exclusive for about 11months (up until Uncharted). Infamous is right around the corner and will probably steal the spotlight.

Yes, but Killzone is also already at 2.1 million sold to consumers.

At its current rate of 35k a week plus holiday sales it'd reach 4 million by the end of the year. Infamous isn't a shooter so it shouldn't affect Killzone weekly sales that much.

VGC says 1.48, Where are people getting the 2.1 figure from?

Regarding Infamous I do think it will affect Killzone somewhat. For every person who buys it because they're a huge FPS or killzone fan, someone is buying it because its the only flagship/showcase PS4 title.

From Sony.

WRONG, resistance was a AAA launch for sony sure.... But the ps3 had ratchet which was a AAA launch.. Heavenly sword which was okay.. And wargawk.. All before uncharted.. Which was completely overshadowed by the launch of assassins creed and call of duty 4 in 2007.. Uncharted was not that well received.. It was the best looking console game.. But uncharted 2 is what brought the franchise it's spotlight.....

Killzone is well ahead of r1 in sales.... 2.1 million as of early march

Not really, there was 11 months between Resistance and Ratchet.  Ratchet and Clank launched in the Fall right next to Uncharted. Heavenly Sword was not well received and also launched rather late (Q3).  WarHawk is not AAA and it too launched in Q3. For almost a whole year ps3 owners had very little to buy but Resistance. So I don't see how I'm wrong.

But I was unaware resistance had sold 2.1m, I was going off the VGC numbers not the ones sony recently announced.

I do believe that Titanfall will outsell Killzone.
The main core users of the Xone are there for the 'online experience', unlike the PS4. That people bought it for the 'diversity of genres' alot of people will skip KZ.
So, even the Xbone lacks on users, the users that are into FPS's and playing the shit out of them online, are majority on the Xbone. And I can see the gameplay is pretty much dumbed down, that's what the masses want, instant gratification, and have fun with it.

Come on, Titanfall is being labeled of the Xone savior! If it lacks on sales, that will be a huge disappointment and a big letdown.
That, and EA does a great job hyping games.

You cant be serious. you think KZ will sell less than 100k in the next few years? lol

VGC has it at 1.48m? I think it will sell another 600k this year and  500k for the rest of its life.

2.7m is probably a more accurate guess thinking aabout it

Seen the link now, changed my prediction to 3.5m ^_^

Seems about right to me. It should be able to have another decent holiday this year and after that Im sure not much more will sell. I predict 15m by next year from ps+ just kidding.

I'm surprised so many people voted Killzone (yes, I know what site I'm on). I think Titanfall will outsell Killzone by a fair margin lifetime. It seems MS is banking on TitanFall being the next big thing, so they're probably willing to give it away if they have to.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

On its way now to outsell Killzone, over 1 million retail in the US alone for March. Might do it within the next month if digital numbers are announced.

Nope, Killzone is vastly undertracked at VGChartz. Sony already announced long ago it sold 2.1 million by january 14: http://m.joystiq.com/2014/01/29/killzone-shadow-fall-global-sales-top-2-1-million/

Killzone SF sales could be anywhere from 2.5 to over 3 million by now.

Killzone was 2.1m with digital included, what kind of logic makes you think it sold 400k-900k in the past 3 months???

It was bundled and PS4 continued to sell out of stock for a long time after that, meaning all bundles did aswell.
