There are plenty more competitive fps for PS4 players to choose from then there were for PS3. Resistence also sold its numbers because it was the only well received ps3 exclusive for about 11months (up until Uncarted). Infamous is right around the corner and will probably steal the spotlight.

WRONG, resistance was a AAA launch for sony sure.... But the ps3 had ratchet which was a AAA launch.. Heavenly sword which was okay.. And wargawk.. All before uncharted.. Which was completely overshadowed by the launch of assassins creed and call of duty 4 in 2007.. Uncharted was not that well received.. It was the best looking console game.. But uncharted 2 is what brought the franchise it's spotlight.....

Killzone is well ahead of r1 in sales.... 2.1 million as of early march

Not really, there was 11 months between Resistance and Ratchet.  Ratchet and Clank launched in the Fall right next to Uncharted. Heavenly Sword was not well received and also launched rather late (Q3).  WarHawk is not AAA and it too launched in Q3. For almost a whole year ps3 owners had very little to buy but Resistance. So I don't see how I'm wrong.

But I was unaware resistance had sold 2.1m, I was going off the VGC numbers not the ones sony recently announced.
