Says 370K units in Japan as at 2 March, so that means 2nd week in Japan is only ~50K. If that's not due to supply constraints that is one massive mother of a drop.

"
PlayStation 4 achieved 600 million units world total actual sales in about three and a half months since its release, the number of actual sales software topped 13.7 million this
Game news PlayStation 4
PlayStation 4 (SCE) Sony Computer Entertainment, I announced that the actual sale of the whole world has achieved 600 million units in total in the March 2, 2014 time. This includes 370,000 units of actual sales in Japan, which was released on February 22, 2014 are included.

"PlayStation 4 (SCE), Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the actual sale of the whole world has achieved 600 million [sic, bad translation obviously] units in total in the March 2, at 2014 (※ 1). This includes 370,000 units of actual sales in Japan, which was released on February 22, 2014 are included." - Google Translate

So 5.847M+~50K = ~5.9M. That means outside Japan PS4 sold only ~100K, again if that's not due to supply constraints that's a very big drop too.

6M in under 4 months is great, but the numbers in the last week to break that mark are not terribly impressive.

600 million units??? lol

If those 2nd week numbers are correct I call bullshit on the supply issues. All to keep the product 'wanted' but artificial shortages.

Sony forecast was 5 million units shipped by march 31th.

I wonder how PS4 will perform in Japan from now on. Anyway, I don't see any chance of Nintendo or Microsoft to win this generation. Sony has got it too right.

I'm guessing 12-15k on average. more then that if something big comes out in that market. I don't expect anything mind blowing.

They are breaking each and every record and people still keep yelling about artificial shortages. Ok.

Artificial shortages? Ok dude, ok.

I just want to remind everyone that they still haven't announced 3 millions sold yet.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
