Without a doubt. I also enjoyed the game and feel that it has SERIOUS potential.

And of course they need to fix the complaints about the first. A deeper story with less historical inaccuracies, more enemy variety, and a deeper combat system. |
This and a better combat system.

i wonder if MS will make on though, i doubt this game is even close to being profitable considering all the changes and dev time it took. and the fact that it scored so low on meta doesnt paint a good future for the possibility of a sequel.
as far as what i would like? well i dont know, i feel ryse could have potentially made devs more interested in making game in the Romanian era, but after how low it scored i think it may have done more harm than good. so i dont know, all i know is i have no faith what so ever in cryteck when it comes to making good games.

Technical geniuses that are lackluster story tellers :/
Hell yes... Best True hack'n slash I played in years... Yeah deeper story/character development... And don't change the game play improve it... Like more than double execution, more diverse enemies... And more free flaw like batman... But please oh please keep it simple... True hack and slash are about mowing masses of enemies by button mashing and some nice finisher... Not about crazy long combos like bayonetta... Never was never will be...

Bought the game at launch and just now finished it. Great game and the best hack & slash I have ever played. The ending sequence from the fight with Boudicca to the walk through the hall way getting ambushed from the hidden roman soldiers was truly epic. Solid 8 / 10 and well deserving of a sequel.
I've only watched a playthrough of it and wouldn't ever get it, but if they changed a few things up then it could be a quality game.
Now, I'm mentioning the free to play Spartacus, because although it had a super low budget, it did some things very well. Spartacus was somewhat like Demon's Souls in how your characters fought and despite the massively low budget, there was actually a decent amount of depth within the gameplay.
Ryse on the other, gameplay looked like a very limited Batman Arkham game with QTEs during quick kills that you didn't even have to be accurate when pressing. The graphics were amazing, but the gameplay looks like it will become too monotonous too quickly. Again, I haven't played it, just my thoughts of watching videos of it.
If the developers created a game that has the graphical quality and budget of Ryse but like Spartacus gave it some Demon's Souls like depth to the game, Microsoft would have a must own title. Even though it's a budget free to play game. I'd recommend trying out Spartacus Legends. It's got some good qualities to it. Here's a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vt6e2b8baM
Yes!
I've watched a few people play Ryse on Twitch.tv, and the game is very entertaining!
Haven't played it, but if reviews and word of mouth is anything to go by then HELL NO.
All I can is that you will not see what this game truly offers by watching videos. Its started out very slow and even turned me off when I first got it but one day it just clicked on me. I will say it gets better as you progress into the game. The battle system is too simple and would have been a lot better with some combos and grabs. Ryse is more of a cinematic action adventure that's about story. Enjoyed the game so much I went ahead and purchased the Season Pass. If you can find the game at a nice price I say go ahead and get it. Here is one of my favorite fights.
