It seems that for the past few months Xbox Live has been $39.99 on and off. And occasionally you can catch it on Ebay Deals for $34.99

So what's the purpose of people still complaining about paying for 1 year subscriptions when they get this low multiple times per year? Is it not simple enough to just stack up when you see it on sale?

I do because I don't always play online and without XBL gold my Xbox 360 playtime gets shortened because I don't like switching between my other consoles to use netlix/games. I also was not aware of these XBL membership deals.

So how do you feel about the $34.99-$39.99 pricing?

It's not like I hate the price. But as a Multiplatform owner (PS3+360) I really don't want to pay twice. So I stick to PS Plus, just because of dem games. I buy every multiplat for PS3 so I can play multiplayer without problems if I like to. So the 360 is nothing more than a machine for exclusives for me. I haven't even connected it to the internet anymore.

If I ever buy an Xbox One, it would be pretty much the same. No way I will pay for Xbox Live on top of PS+.

It is not shabby especially with Games with Gold (I know it is hard to complain about "free" stuff but come on those games are hella old). Good value, now i just need to ditch my AA batteries. 

-Side note I'm getting an Xbox One soon so I think XBL value will jump up significantly for me. 

This price is great! Its cheaper than PS Plus as well but PS Plus has better value.

I pay for Xbox Live and PS+, I don't mind the cost. Both services are basically the price of buying one game per year.

No skin of my back since I don't pay for gold. I hardly play online anyway. I do have PS Plus though. I got it for $20 on Amazon.com as a Black Friday deal. Sweet!

Edit: If you look up HumdrumPie on XbL you will see that I am a gold member. A year of gold was a gift from Dad. I love him :)

That's another thing I wonder about. Why don't people ask for Xbox Live for Christmas or for birthdays?? I did that when I was younger all the time.

That site almost always sells it for under £30.

If you have no plans to switch to PS4/PS+, then you should probably stack up because if games for gold does start matching PS+, expect the subscription to stay near RRP like PS+.
