Like I said again and again... if you're looking at a game in motion on a TV without knowing the resolution, its difficult to determine what resolution the game is. That alone makes clear and apparent the difference between 720p and 1080p is not as significant as some are trying to lead people to believe. |

| More than double the res is significant though. |

having graphics look much clearer adds to the gameplay experiance, if your used to console gaming your already used to 720p, trying playing the wii or to a lesser extent sub hd games like crysis and halo reach, they look like a jaggie mess, once you get used 1080p gaming going back to 720p will look blurry to you.

Halo Reach, jaggie mess?
Even if it was jaggie mess, I'd rather play that than Killzone on PS4.
You can invest countless hours on a jaggie mess if it fun but the wow effect of pretty graphics run off pretty quickly with an average gameplay.
As the proud owner of a new PS4, I can notice resolution difference but once the game starts moving, it's the last thing on my mind. Initially, I paused and looked at how sharp thihgs were but after five minutes the novelty wore off and it was business as usual.

From a gaming perspective. But I can see where the extra $100 went and I'm kinda excited about the eventual purchase for an Xbox One, now. I mean the new Kinect (hate it or love it), a real headset, the HDMI Input, and some entertainment features that the PS4 doesn't have, yet--I'm thinking the $100 difference is justified, now.
Of course, we're all gamers first and foremost. I'm still anxious to see the bonus features that the One has, ethomaz.
If you have to pause games or post selected screens of different versions side by side to find a difference than it really doesn't matter. It is nothing but console war nonsense. Right now Ryse is the best looking game on either console so we know Xbox One is more than capable of having great looking games. It is just trickier hardware and no I'm not saying the hardware is equal because its not. PS4 has more raw power but Xbox One still has plenty of power.

Is that really XB1 vs PS4? There is a HUGE difference between those pics, more than I'd believe, it's like 1/2 generation difference.
Playstation 5 vs XBox Series Market Share Estimates
Regional Analysis (only MS and Sony Consoles)
Europe => XB1 : 23-24 % vs PS4 : 76-77%
N. America => XB1 : 49-52% vs PS4 : 48-51%
Global => XB1 : 32-34% vs PS4 : 66-68%

2) Even on a 60" inch it would be difficult to determine the exact resolution. That's why we wait for people on the internet to tell us. I was playing Gears of War Judgetment on a 60+ inch recently, it actually looked great. Even though its 720p... for some reason it wasn't a jaggy mess. |
1) So you're telling me those sports/racers are played on both TV's, you can't tell ANY difference? NONE?
2) My friend who preordered an Xbox One brought it to my place and played on my 55" HDTV. We compared COD, BF4 and NBA 2K14. All games showed a CLEAR graphical upgrade, even NBA 2K14 (it just looked sharper, PERIOD).

Out of 4 versions of MGSV, 3 have the same resolution (720p), while the PS4 is at 4x theirs (1080p). Some posters say "resolution doesn't matter". What do you say?
