Yeah its the games, its just that its the multiplatform games that keep coming out, people are ready to upgrade there console and this is the best and cheapest choice to carry on playing those multiplat games. 

yeah, increadibly crazy that 7M is even a possibility.    ..but with japan launching today if the west has a "typical" week ps4 will likely be ~6M at the end of next weeks numbers.   ...and that leaves 1 month + 1 week to sell another million.  1M / 5 weeks is 200k a week which is totally possible after the japan launch adds another 30k+ to the current weekly numbers.  throw in on extra 100-200k ps4 to VGCz numbers that will likely be included in sony's financials that have been shipped to retailers but still "in route".  

damn, it's all up to whether or not sony makes 7M to have a jaw droppingly high LTD at the end of the FY..   so crazy.

i actually just looked up that thread today to consider bumping it but most people weren't that dismissive of sony's 5M.   zero and poe were the only ones that really said it wouldn't happen.   everyone else was more like "it will be close but with a bit of retail stuffing they should get there".    well lol, we hit 5M 2 months early and retail certainly isn't stuffed.  xD

edit: oh, and ethomaz called 7M and a few called him out as crazy.  win!   :P

For me the cheapest choice was buying my Ghosts copy (which was totally redundant by the way) on the Xbox 360 and completely ignoring BF4, Fifa14 etc. Hell the latest GTA isn't even on next gen! And what's left is a mediocre Killzone, some indy rubish and *sigh* Knack.

Yeah but its not just about the cheapest way to play COD, weve just come off the back of the longest generation, people are more than ready for a console Upgrade, and to keep playing COD on the next gen, the best and cheapest place to go is PS4, same for all the big multiplat titles like Fifa, NFS, BF4.

I think it will be difficult to get until May actually here in Europe. Every Champions League knock-out game is advertised with PS4 since Sony is official partner and supplier of tech. I think that will definitely bring up the attention of the console existing to millions of people too. Since there is hardly any advertising campaigns from stores since there is hardly anything to find there. I'll still try to get mine in March/April hopefully when available

Indy rubbish? The indie titles so far have been great.

Don't Starve + Outlast + Resogun are fantastic. A great mix.

Also people want to get on board early. Once you see how updates/downloads are handled on the PS4 and how smooth the UI is, you don't want to go back.
