I didn't before, and now with the fast collapse of the 360's sales I really don't think either will get to a hundred million or pass the Wii.

I'm not Sony extremist, I think is hard for PS3 to reach Wii, but its the only one that still stand a chance. It could do it, deppending how many years Sony support it and the effect that might have the next price cut. Sony's systems are well known by its legs, even PSP has been pulling decente numbers.
If I have to say right now what I think. No, its not gonna catch the Wii, but its gonna be damn close.

Who knows, depends on Sony. Honestly a $100 PS3 in all regions sold for 4 more years would probably easily do it. But we all know that is never going to happen because of tiny profit margins.

No, and I never thought they would. But even I didn't think the drop-off in sales would be this steep.

We saw the PS2 handily outsell the PS3 for a while thanks to the the PS3's high price and the big Guitar Hero craze at the time which did big numbers on PS2. However, simply put, PS3 is no PS2.

And Sony will only be able to drop the PS3's price so much. At some point, the BOM will limit going any lower. I don't think we'll ever see a $129 PS3.

Honestly before the ps4 came out i thought the ps3 had a chance now seeing how hard ps3 sales dropped i dont think so.

I never predicted it. PS3 is not the PS2. It aint got no legs.

360 has no chance. Heck, I'm pretty sure it won't even hit 90M, now.

The PS3 has a shot, as Sony still has a $50-$100 price cut coming and, more importantly, they will be pushing it in the same developing countries that allowed the PS2 to sell decently, while its sales dropped in the major regions. It definitely won't be easy, though.

PS3 can do it. (I'm not saying that it will, but it is a possibility)

The battle of the 7th gen isn't over yet just because all 8th gen systems are out. But it sure is the closest race we have ever seen.

I wouldn't really consider it an extreme view to believe the PS3 could. I don't personally think it will, but they have an awful lot of room for price cuts and Sony tend to support their consoles a good few years into their successors lifetime.
