Who said that? I can't play Titanfall on Kinect for example.

Lol can we stop pretending kinect is important and necessary to the x1 now?

.... wow..   are you going to play TF with that remote to?

They market the console as coming with kinect to be a hands free media center.  you tell it what to do.   Now they have a remote to do it,  does that not hint we very well might see a kinect-less sku coming?

I thought that was what Kinect was for. I thought buttons are stupid.

This is in no way flaming the Kinect but that's a pretty conflicting message from MS now.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's not conflicting to people who actually HAVE an Xbox One - I pause and play and rewind and fast forward with Kinect but navigating blu ray menus is PROHIBITED by the blu ray counsel or whoever make it to be controlled with things like mice or Kinects - try popping a blu ray in your PC and clicking on a blu ray menu option.

This is a nice lit remote that you can use for the blu ray player, that also controls the other aspects because why not. Sometimes, when you want to turn the volume down, saying 'Xbox, Volume Down' three times isn't as easy as pressing a remote.

Pass.

I currently use Kinect, Smartglass, and the controller. I have no interest in buying another remote.

I do agree that this might be hinting towards a cheaper Kinect-less version.

but but but what about MS vision for the future? what about kinect?
