Forums - Microsoft - Will Halo take a back seat to Titanfall?

So if Titanfall on Xbox One happens to be a big success for a new third party IP, Microsoft is putting advertisement out there for their future demise. Titanfall 2 comes to PS4 and thanks to Microsoft's advertising of the first game, it's Sony's Halo killer despite being third party.

Noo. I doubt Titanfall will even hit 5m Lifetime.

Halo 5 is coming in 2015, so no.

It's actually a good question. Halo 5 is coming out next spring, so that could put it against titanfall two.

I think it's too early to say.

What!?  You think titanfall 2 will be out next spring?  Respawn isnt that big of a studio, there is no way.  Besides, havent they already said they are shooting for a new title every three years?

No.

Yes, you are correct.  I think EA is doing the 3 year cycle with Battlefield, Battlefront, and Titanfall.....which I think is the smartest thing ever because I am going to buy all 3 because there all a year away from each other.

No... just... no.

Titanfall is so overhyped it's disgusting.

I do. Also do you have a link about the three year thing?

I doubt it. Halo is still the premiere franchise MS has and for a lot of people (such as myself) one of the big reasons to own an Xbox system. Actually the release of Halo 5 will mark my purchase of an Xbox One. I doubt I am alone in that process as well.

Titanfall hasn't done anything yet.
