The only good thing now is when Bayonetta 2 and X eventually come out and bomb, at least they have the "hey even Donkey Kong, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit, W101, bombed and even Mario is having a tough time" excuse so there's no expectation on these games to have to perform on this lame duck console.

That might be the saving grace for getting a third Bayonetta or Xeno game greenlit because Nintendo can't possibly blame the developers when everything on the system is underperforming in the way that they cut ties with Silicon Knights and Factor 5 once their games sales declined.

I have a feeling that X and bayo will do quite good, they are different types of games compared to the bombs.

Those games will bomb. Nintendo can barely sell games like Mario 3D World and can't even do anything with DKC or Pikmin. Wii U is the culmination of Nintendo's epic mismanagement and out-out-touch board of directors from Iwata on down and they are getting what they deserve.

Wii U is not a bad idea in design (except insofar as it has become daunting to third parties). The problems are in the form of execution. The only thing really mismanaged about Nintendo, like Kasz said recently, is they have a cash reserve that is practically criminal for a company of their age. If they had gone out and bought only one sizable studio a year for each of the peak Wii-DS years (2007, 8, 9, and 10), that would have been more games for the latter end of the Wii's life, a stronger start for 3DS without having to go through that embarrassing false start, and more on the table for Wii U.

They're sitting on that money waiting for something, but god only knows what.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

What's depressing is that I really want this game... on the 3DS. They should have either made this for 3DS, Made a 3D Donkey Kong for Wii U, or made a new Metroid. Ugh.

Not buying this until it's out for 3DS in two years.

What's next on the chalkboard?

How long have Sony fans been waiting to bust that out, lol.  Brings up a good point though, how long did the PS3 get dragged along until it was "saved"?  It wasn't software, from GTA to Grn Turismo, that finally made it sell decent.   It was a slim model, rebranding, and price cut.

The PS3 never sold this badly.

No, but the image is definetly a reference to the "what till save the PS3" chalkboard that was so popular yars back.

It was a overall hard date to realese it. Between a Dragon Quest launch on 3DS and PS4 launch. Even more, the art and sound style are really ocidental. Add to that the fact that February is not a good month.

Still, it came out in second place.
From the Top 10, 9 are Nintendo games,
From the top 20, 15 are Nintendo games.

It is not as bad as people are saying.

Wowza that is .... pretty terrible. 35K?!! There are like 1.6m WiiU owners in Japan and only 35k were interested (first week)

but i have done my research and there is no possible way the Wii U will sell less than 1.7m this quarter. If you say otherwise you havent done your researxh.

This is the begining of the revolution. It starts in Japan then DKC

Don't start fights, especially with users who are not yet present.

I will say that I'm starting to feel fairly silly for predicting that the Wii U could keep its lead until the end of the year.

There is a Wii U chalkboard btw, it's been around since last year:

This is an older one as Wii Fit/Wii Party should be crossed out, lol.
