There isn't even any point in having an intellectual conversation with the two pricedrop people. I made a thread about that, and still no one listens.

This is definitely very good news for the PS3 .I think the sales are actually 10.3 million .

It has done it faster than the 360 and with the console not out in its strongest territory for 4 months .If the PS3 had been released in time in Europe it would have easily one more million right now and would have beaten the 360 to 10 not by 5 months but by 8 months .

360 sales just cant improve ,it will be selling the same quantities over and over as it has been doing since launch .

PS3 ,on the other hand ,will reach mass market and once the price comes close enough to the Wii it will be the HD console to hold serious gaming from the casual temptation of the Wii .

Many people are buying the Wii as impulse buy ...its cheap and has a bundled game .PS3 will benefit just of the same once it is around 250-299 and has a bundled game .Wait and see .

Im seeing alot of damage controlling everywhere, its like some people are in disbelief and think its impossible lol.

There's no doubt that the PS3 has a better appeal ww than the 360, numbers speak for themselves, as does this comparison imo.
This is exactly why most people believe that the PS3 will catch the 360, and do so in relatively short time.

i didnt read most of the posts,, but heres my take

the 360 was basicly sold in 2 major markets (NA, Others)

and the ps3 was sold in 3 major markets (JPN, NA, and Others)

So congrats on selling more faster when you have a few million more people concidering your product

Interesting that the most expensive console has been selling pretty well even with the "It has no games" argument.

Don't know about anybody else, but I'm just eager to play some of the games that are scheduled for this year.

The damage control in here is off the Richter. People just cannot handle it. Everyone pegged the PS3 as a failure, etc, and now that it's tracking above the 360, and outselling it on a weekly basis, people can't get over it. This is exactly what happened when the PS3 beat the 360 in the NPD this month. People just can't handle it.

You're cool, but obviously don't know what you're talking about. First, the spike in March is due to the European launch, not XBOX shortages. I found (and bought) an XBOX 360 January of 2006 just fine, with plenty to spare.
