So when an overly critical claim comes from a site that you consistently criticize for being in "MS´s pocket", it is fact based, but otherwise it should be ignored when it celebrate games on 360/X1? This is just sad to see...

Well it seems that consumers are admitting that. That's probably why it's not selling as well as the PlayStation 4.

He won't fool me though, he loves Kinect more than anything in the world, that's required with evidence if you want to join Lolygon. |
Perhaps there is an element of panic in what they are saying. They are a Pro MS site and perhaps seeing the console sell considerablly less in the USA must be of concern to them. Why wouldnt they start to suggest ways that MS can try and close the gap.. I mean they can't use resolution/FPS etc for the most part, especially now we have got past the initial gimping of PS4 for reviews and day 1 patches to increase the resolution. Of course they can still crap on PS4 exclusive games (expect a 6 for Infamous of them at least :)... but they dont have much else at the moment to slate Sony.
Though I agree with most of the comments here, removing Kinect is the wrong answer. Show why Kinect is worth bundling, put some really cash behind it and show its worth it. If it really is that much more powerful than V1... bloody hell invest in some games for it, and show it.

I have been a little upset with the lack of support for Kinect. If they wanted people to buy in, then why no support? They thought the Kinect navigation and voice controls would sell by it self. I have to say Microsoft dropped the ball on this one. I like it but wanted games, not just a menu add on. |
There is no games because it was rushed out the gate. Nothing more. PS was also but not to the extent as MS
Gamers want to know: If you remove the Kinect, will "the truth" still "come out"? Maybe Major Nelson knows? Is he still waiting or did we just miss it when it happened???
Actually assuming that the lower specs of XO would make the console cheaper to produce than that of a higher spec'd one. Then the kinect 2.0 makes one hell of an impact to the price than one would think. Hell, the XO package could perhaps become $50 cheaper than the Ps4 package if the kinect was removed.
MS so hardheaded.
Yay!!!
Weaker console, peripheral we don't want with voice commands that don't work as often as you'd like.

Indeed.
Nice opinion piece. As with most, I don't agree with everything stated. I think the sales of the XBO are fine though, and with Titanfall and Kinect Sports Rivals coming, the overall appeal will improve.
But then again, I'm not a reactionary or emotional person, so I can be more reasonable about such things.

People are being way to dismissive.
Kinect has had no games yet. Kinecct Sports Rivals will be the first real Kinect game, and that will appeal to the family audience. Its a real step up from Kinect Sports and boasts a lot of great features for family fun. The Xbox One is also more expensive and in less markets. Xbox One is doing fine, and Titanfall next month will generate interest in purchasing. Yes its on 360, but it will make people more inclined to choose Xbox One as an upgrade if they like Online Shooters.
This year is great for gamers on Xbox One. And Kinect will get its games soon.
All this talk is way to early. Yeah PS4 has had a dream sales start. But Xbox One is still the best selling Xbox. MS will b pleased with that especially considering its selling at profit. Wait to see what effect Titanfall has on the shooter crowd. Theres a lot of people saying they are waiting for it to jump in to Xbox One.
This talk about price drop and dropping Kinect is so premature. Games will sell the console. And MS hve great exclusives coming. The Xbox Is fine.
Yes. They "forced" Kinect on people just like they "forced" them to buy an Xbox One. Or and Xbox 360. Blah blah blah.
They will not take Kinect out of the package. If anything, they'll drop the price at E3 to $400. Kinect is the only thing that separates the Xbox One from the PS4.
It would be like the Wii last generation having lackluster sales and removing motion controllers from the system. Compared to the PS3 and 360, it was underpowered. The motion controls set it apart. That's what Kinect does. Of course, not with the same level of success the Wii had.
