This is the kickstarter funded project isn't it? They must have reached their funding goals.

Edit: Wow, they far exceeded them. Take a look.

£300k sterling was their goal.

They've got £831,793 pledged. That's about $1.3 million

Seems they have a private investor with a lot of cash funding it too. Risky, but it could prove fruitful if it takes off.

The original plan already comtempled next-gen version but they are not sure because the devkits and how the publish in these plataform works.

"This is going to be a brief but very important update. We originally announced our game for PC and next gen console. While we never doubted our technical ability to do it, we were not sure about the actual publishing and distribution. In the last console generation, it just wasn’t possible to have a game on console without an official publisher.

In this generation it’s going to be different though. We had lot of discussion with both Microsoft and Sony in the past weeks and we are happy to announce that the game concept of Kingdom Come: Deliverance was approved by both Sony and Microsoft for the next gen platform (PS4 and Xbox One).

Both companies are very eager to work with independent developers now and were really helpful in speeding up the whole process. We were provided with devkits and will get cracking on the console version right away.

It also appears that we will be able to publish the game on consoles at least digitally ourselves, without publishers. We shall see about the physical/retail publishing, we may be able to do it ourselves, or we may make a deal with another company to do it, this remains to be seen."

That's great to hear. I really wish them well with the project, it looks fantastic!

Also good to note that Sony and MS were very supportive of a team like this.

Great that Sony and Microsoft are progressive enough to allow self-publishing, and great that this game got funded. There's bundles of potential in this one.

And another PC game for me. Consoles just can't handle the cry engine.

Game doesn't look to demanding for PS4 or X1, As long as this isn't overpriced I'll consider buying it.

Actually it does look very demanding. I doubt that what you see on the screens would be possible on PS4 with 1080p and an acceptable framerate.

Does it? Maybe it's just me then.

High res textures, dynamic shadows, sophisticated lighting, lots of vegetation, open world and all this with a good amount of AA. The PS4 can handle some of it but not all of it at the same time.
