It occurred to me recently that, since I'd started posting here, I hadn't really paid too much attention to the various predictions I've made. I liked to think I had a pretty good track record, and I'd laughed at some of the more ridiculous soothsayers, but I'd never really thought about how well my predictions had performed.

So, in the end, I did some digging, and...

Total Number Correct: 5

Total Number Wrong: 9

I'm embarrassed to say I was shocked by those figures. With ~36% accuracy, my track record isn't all that rosy. It's something I'll have to think about next time I scoff at someone else's outlandish predictions.

So how does everybody else fare in this regard? Are you reasonably accurate? Or does the wall around your dart board have a lot of holes in it? And if you feel like sharing, what's the worst prediction you've ever made on this site?

I try to be as safe and reasonable as possible... am I'm still always wrong. :/

I've made a serious prediction once, nobody knew me at that time D:
I said the Wii U would sell around 83k (I think, I could look for it, but won't) during it's price cut week in the US, and I think I did it perfectly... Until it was adjusted to 70k-ish... But I considered it correct!

I think I made one prediction bets. It was about Animal Crossing: New Leaf and some stuff about the numbers and stuff. I don't usually make predictions, I made this one because I knew I'd win it.

I've made many predictions in the past. Some official (like in threads that are made for tracking predictions) some really rough numbers that I've just thrown out there. Too many to count.

I'm tracking16. So far I've got four right and three wrong.

Well the only real prediction I have on hand is my January one. I got my PS4 numbers relatively close but my XBO and Wii U ones were ehhhhh.

Haven't made any real predictions yet. Just loud thoughts.

I haven't made too many, but for January global sales I predicted:
ps4 - 700k
xb1 - 400k
wii u - 250k

VGC now has:
ps4 - 649k
xb1 - 301k
wii u - 167k

So basically I overestimated everything.

I expected more PS4 shipments.
I expected XB1 to beat X360's first January but it missed by a mile.
I expected Wii U will keep it's momentum and be up YoY but it's doomed.
