It occurred to me recently that, since I'd started posting here, I hadn't really paid too much attention to the various predictions I've made. I liked to think I had a pretty good track record, and I'd laughed at some of the more ridiculous soothsayers, but I'd never really thought about how well my predictions had performed.
So, in the end, I did some digging, and...
Total Number of Predictions: 23
Total Number Correct: 5
Total Number Wrong: 9
I'm embarrassed to say I was shocked by those figures. With ~36% accuracy, my track record isn't all that rosy. It's something I'll have to think about next time I scoff at someone else's outlandish predictions.
So how does everybody else fare in this regard? Are you reasonably accurate? Or does the wall around your dart board have a lot of holes in it? And if you feel like sharing, what's the worst prediction you've ever made on this site?
