How would you expect K Rool to survive a freeze?

Apparently gamespot has given this game a 5/10. I might need to think about it now before I buy it right away.

I figured it made sense to do a sequel in order to improve upon their first attempt.

I'm not sure about a third game, though. I don't know where the series can go from here. Prime 3 had the new control scheme as the reason for its existence, at least.

Although Tom McShea does seem to have mixed feelings for the game.

Interesting. I'd love to hear the reasoning, and how it compared to GameInformer's glowing review.

Looks very imaginitive and visually wonderful. I was never worried about the fun factor but I just wasn't that hyped for the game at first; but that's not an issue now.

I may still curse DK's slippery control and reliance on timed button presses for high-bounces, but I'll gladly deal with them.

I would of prefered if Retro made something other than a platformer.

I honestly can't see why anyone would score it that low. Even people who despise platformers would see the production values and fun in this even though they wouldn't play it much themselves.

One more thing about the loading times: It seems that it varies a lot depending on the stage you're loading, and not just initial loading. Right before I went to bed last night I fired up the game once again just to play another stage, and it loaded pretty quickly (I had just booted the game up). The initial loading (the still screen which appears after you have selected the game on the Wii U menu) is somewhat longer than most first party games. Not much longer though, and when the game appears the loadings are not too long either.

Back to playing now.

I haven't been this hyped for a game since... well, since DKCR in 2010.
The next six days will be TORTURE...
