I like her. Not as much as Toriyama likes her, but it's impossible to anyway.

I like her, but I wouldn't mind for them to move on. Subtle nods be nice in future games to various characters form all the entries.

while i do agree that Cloud is way overhyped (i like Zack myself), Square never did shove Cloud down our throats. At least not in the way they want to do with Lighting. He made a small cameo in FFT and that weird fighting game, both of which you had to jump through hoops to get him to appear. Cloud's popularity is a bit more natural, fans just liked him. With Lighting it seems more desperate, they really wanted 13 to work. Of course in the past decade they have been throwing 7 at us to be fair.

It seems that SE doesnt know how to make main characters anymore. I dont know the last good female lead was Aqua from KH, she was a strong character without being a bitch.
