Even the superior 360 version of Bayonetta 1 falls short of Bayonetta 2 graphically. The Wii U game has bigger scale, a cleaner image, no screen tearing from any reports I've read, better particles and effects...

Cleaner is arguable since there's lots of aliasing and shimmering.

Have you played the first game? It had that plus blurriness plus screen tearing.

Both bayonetta 1 and 2 were at 720p with no anti aliasing applied to boot. I'm not sure about your eyes but their both look blurry as hell to me.

Proof that Bayo 2 will have no AA?

I wish Nintendo fans would stop trying to talk about graphics, it frustrates me to be associated with them.

Here's a ps3/360 screen comparison:

And here's Bayonetta 2:

The 360 version looked better than the PS3, but it was still WAY off from what Bayonetta 2 looks like. So the haters need to stop pretending that the 360 version looks just as good or something.

The only difference I'm noticing is the colour palette. That blurriness is probably due to getting sick of that brown colour.

They both look like a mess to me. I'll stick to my PC thanks. 1440P w/ 8x MSAA FTW LOL

There's also less blur in Bayo 2.

And until PC plays the latest Nintendo games, I'll stick with consoles, haha.

Everyone knows the 360 version ran a shit ton better :P Hence i called the PS3 version a shitty port. Either way I have little doubt both the PS3 and 360 could run Bayonetta 2 stably at 720p (like the 360 did the first). In the over 4 years since the original released there have been plenty of games i'd consider more technically demanding. Bayonetta 2 does have huge amounts of action, but the game itself has relatively mid-tier visuals (except for the AA which is just plain awful at times).

Neither could run it at 1080p like the WiiU, but 720p sure.

I'm pretty sure some of the larger backdrops during hectic setpieces would demand more than the PS3/360's <500MB of RAM.

The PS3 managed GOWIII's scale back in 2010 with relative ease (30 - 60fps), i see no reason i couldn't manage Bayonetta 2's. Especially when it comes to static scale (such as the city in the plane part of B2) there are a lot of way of streamlining the process with very little visual difference.

At the end of the day, 1GB of RAM is still double what PS3 or 360 has. Any situation where over 500MB of assets are required to be in play at once, PS3/360 would hit a brick wall.
