Even if Sony doesn't go bankrupt, I highly doubt the ps4 will become the Best-Selling console of all time... But that 78% might kill Sony before we can find out for sure!!!!!

Sony has over 19 billion in cash on hand, they won't go bankrupt, so keep dreaming guys.

And the PS4 WILL at least challenge the PS2 as the king of home consoles. You can print it!

How is "Even more" winning? Does anyone seriously expect PS4 to sell more than 60 million in 2 years?

Sony won't go bankrupt, and I don't even think it will sell 100 million consoles, nevermind being the best selling of all time. I know Sony fans now try to downplay it but the PS2 did what it did because it had a DVD player. Not that it would have sold poorly by any means, it would have still been a massive seller in the 90 million range, but the fact that it had a DVD player made the Xbox and Gamecube seem like a big ripoff to most people. All consoles were very similarly priced, expect one was 2 machines in one. Heres your Scenario.

-Wii U is $299, has graphics that are weaker then the PS4/Xbox One but you get an Ipad Mini with it.
-PS4 is $399 and Xbox One is $499.

Wii U would be selling like crack right now even with it's lack of games. Theres a reason last gen why Sony went from 76 percent marketshare to a 31 percent. The PS4 even with the Blu-Ray player, didn't feel like the best value, the Wii did, especially for only $250. Right now the PS4 is a good value among the hardcore but with the masses of people that by most of the consoles, I really doubt it.

Even if Sony goes bankrupt I think some other company will buy the Playstation brand, patents etc and continue selling PS4s.

What are you talking about? People are taking this $1.1 billion projected loss so out of context. Sony has 2 failing divisions (PC and TV) and one marginal division (phones). PC is gone, TV is being put at arms length to succeed or fail without doing any further damage to Sony and phones are treading water. The rest of what Sony does is sound and viable. Sony won't go bankrupt.

Sony's share price hit a short term low on 3 Feb, then a couple of days later the PC and TV announcements were made and Sony stock rose quite a bit. A company's stock doesn't go up after a projected $1.1Bn loss is announced if that loss is likely to cause bankruptcy. The thing that could happen to Sony is a hostile takeover and dismantling of the company. Not no way is there going to be a bankruptcy in the forseeable future.

A bankrupt Sony is just wishful thinking on the part of some Nintendo and Microsoft fans.
