"It could have been the biggest new IP this gen"
Would having this game on both PS4/XBO make it the biggest new IP this gen?

don't think it will hurt since they already got a ton of advance cash in their account...

Pretty sure the deal was with respawn, which needed the funding. People are pretending that this wasn't a mutually beneficial agreement between Microsoft and Respawn (and EA I suppose).
Titanfall isn't guarnateed to make back the money MS invested in it. I wouldn't even call this a money hat, but rather an investment agreement. Now, COD timed DLC you could consider a money hat, since that is a proven IP already.
Hindsight might seems to be 20/20, but there might not even BE a Titanfall right now if the studio didn't get the funding it needed.
Title should be "Child tries to troll Peter Moore, gets beat down".
He handled that really well. Kudos.

I think both have a point. EA is fine with being no 1 on the PS4 with the games they decided to go multiplat with I guess, but you know they are saying to themselves damn we missed some major sales with that exclusivity deal.
I wouldn't exactly call that "trolling", I think people like to throw around that term too often. Also that reply was masterful.
Either way Titanfall 2 will be multiplat, but yeah they probably lost a nice slice of sales.
Their checks from ripping off consumers as of late though should hold them over.
MS must be paying an insane amount. The game will be huge anyway, the hype is through the roof so I think they'll be okay.
eh...the PS4 may have the most sales for most of their games, but by what margin? If it's a complete blowout, then sure, EA screwed up.
But if the numbers are close, then it's nothing to "troll" him over
