Forums - Nintendo - Ubisoft Reconfirms Watch Dogs Wii U Isn't Canceled And Is Coming Soon

The game would have already reduced at least by 50% in price by the time WiiU version release at full price.
Everyone and their dogs would have already bought it on another platform if they wanted it.
Those that didn't would be buying the cheaper box.

"See? Nobody buys 3rd party on Nintendo."

I get the feeling that game is a port of the PS3/X360 version with some minor gamepad features tacked on.

When 360/PS3's lower specs couldn't handle the game, it bottlenecked the WiiU version's development.

Basically, the 360/PS3 version has to be QA tested before a WiiU port is done. That way they can fix issues once and handle the scope of the game while porting the game as easily as possible.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I doubt there will be a Wii U release date anytime soon. My guess is that development is running late so they decided to delay the weakest projected platform to concentrate on the others. That means that they probably won't turn to the Wii U version until they're confident about hitting goal with the others.

Hopefully these are normal issues they're having and not anything major.

And why should we believe them?
They also said Watchdogs would come launch window.

Well, Ubi has some exp developing for the WiiU, it will probably look a little better than the PS3-360 conterpart.
I predict it will get to 80k-130k on WiiU, Ubi should do ZombiU II, the first game sold around 600k and cannot have more than a 10 million dollars budget.

bolded: if the release was the same as other versions, it would probably get  those sales right in the first week.

When the Wii-U version is released for full price the other version will probably be 50% of it... so we might just say we pay those "extra" 50% just for gamepad interactions.

Doesn't bother me much that it's release much later... I'm in no hurry playing it.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

There is an additional reason, Nintendo sales in general ar heavily seasonal, releasing games on summer don't help sales that much, but in oct-nov they have a better chance of getting bigger numbers. They could include some extra stuff to compensate, nothing big, but something.
