I'm not gonna lie: I'm VERY curious about the reception of Titanfall on Xbox One, especially if there's a well-priced bundle. But make no mistake about it, people: anything less than an MDK-Violent-Ken-Flying-Astral-Finish-Attack on the Xbox One sales from it, Microsoft will be aggressive on dumping the Xbox brand...

You do know Bing is an absolute distaster financially, right? It's like bomb inside the MS offices, and nobody knows when it will blow.

Business  isnt quite that cut and dry. Overall MS are posting their biggest profits in the history of MS ever. Bing certainly is gaining Marketshare everyday. Its about placing your pawns to cripple  the others.

Silly fanboy. MS also threw in FIFA 14 for free at launch, didn't do shit. The TitanFall bundle is also still rumored. And the fact that it would be free in Australia doesn't mean it will be worldwide. Also if you would pay attention, you would know a lot of shops are already throwing in a $50 free game on their own, which also isn't doing anything. And most of the people who are interested on TitanFall on the XB1 already have the XB1 at their homes.

Titanfall is that good. It will sell Xbox's. Especially to online shooter fans ( Which basically all COD and BF sells for ). And no, people interested in Titanfall dont already have Xbox Ones. Only me and 2 of my mates have Xbox Ones so far. 5 more are jumping from 360/ps3 to Xbox Ones on March 13. Tey have been waiting for Titanfall.

Titanfall will sell great with great legs. And it will sell Xbox Ones. no doubt about it. Th Beta was awesome. And had over 2 mill players on Xbox One. Thats curreently 2/3rds of the Xbox One population. Unheard of attach rate.

I think that that scenario is getting increasingly likely.

Microsoft is a company that goes into a market to dominate. They have had an increasingly better performance since they started but i think its fairly obvious to conclude that the X1 wont be the sucess the 360 was.
Under these circunstances and the investor pressure, i can see Microsoft selling off their Xbox division or closing it down. They have no chance to dominate the market without taking big losses yet again, and i dont think the new administration really has room for that.

So, if they arent planning to sell it already, im sure they will be looking at Titanfalls impact on the X1 and possibly unbundle the Kinectin the future. I dont think they will take any losses with it. If these are enough to make it a sucess then Microsoft will definitly keep the Xbox. If sales go back to beeing abysmal like they are beeing now, then they will most certainly kill it or sell it if they can. I dont think amazon is interested in the X1 though, but i think they are interested in Microsoft game studios.

Of course it will sell consoles, every single game does that. You're talking like it will move 2million XOnes, it simply wont.

When you say it had over 2million players, was that just on Xbox One or does that include PC also?

Pretty sure it was XB1 and PC combined.

Not wanting to burst your bubble, but Titanfall is also available on 360 and PC. Its not exactly a title you need an X1 to play.
