Forums - Gaming - Why us Sony fans WILL NOT be accepting that PS4 is the most powerful console

At this point, the ps4 is double the strength. Now it might get a little closer with the esram fully utilized, but not much.

And some would like to see that double power put into practice before blindly agreeing.

1080p is quite impressive, but not an indication of double the power.

I don't care so much about who provides the most powerful console. I care about the games. Quality, diversity, quantity - in that order. And as i've experienced in the past two decades, it is Sony who has the greatest potential. If Microsoft is able managing catching up i wouldn't mind buying a One. However, i honestly doubt they will.

PC offers the best graphics and experience...

No it doesn't. Not any more. There was a time when i enjoyed playing games on PC - playing PC-Games. I stress the term PC-Games. But now, with all this mini-game-BS, F2P and half assed console ports i'm pretty upset where PC-Gaming has gone. Anyone who claims it has the best gaming experience today has either nostalgia disorder or hasn't experienced the era when PC-Gaming was actually good.

So true. This porting from console to PC is not doing the PC any favours. But then again with multiplats, far more sales are generated on consoles than PCs so why not put the effort in where your coin is coming from?

PC game sales are pathetic compared to consoles. Why put all that work in for so little reward? Now with the XB1 and PS4 architecture it is looking like the PC will be getting the shabby ports.

Sad thing is, PC-Gaming is very much profitable. It generates as much dollares as all three console-plattforms combined. Begs the question, why are we not getting any superb superfantastic "nextgen" games for this plattform? Why no grand strategy games, RPGs, Simulations and FPS'? The conclusion is as simple as it can get. PC-Gamers apparently don't want this kind of games. Otherwise it wouldn't be a hassle producing games on a regular basis ment to be played on high end machines.

Hunting Season is done...

Always the same. We forget that what matters are the games. We are all seeing that console is working on having better games. It is obvious. And you know what it is. And it's always the same. Monopoly is bad.

Its not that PS fanboys are doing anything wrong by posting anything about PS having benefits, but many among you dont just do that, they gloat, aggressively. They will say yea we have a better game, thats because Xbox one and Wii u suck and they have no power. Taking pride in ones console and games is fine, but attacking others maliciously for no reason is not, and thats what many have been doing.

PC gamers tend to have different tastes than console gamers.

For instance, despite PC gamers undying love for our lord saviour, GabeN... Left 4 Dead 2 sold better on consoles than PC, yet Portal 2 sold better on PC than Console.
So it goes to show there is a shift in demographics there despite both being "FPS".
In general, Puzzle(Portal/Sanctum etc'), MOBA/MMO(League of Legends/Dota/WoW), RTS(StarCraft/Civilization), Simulation(The Sims/Sim City.) tend to be the PC's stronghold.

However with that in mind, Publishers have historically called all PC gamers pirates, they ignored the market and because of such Kickstarter came along, suddenly the franchises/games that publishers deemed "to risky" are now being made, without the publishers, PC gamers suddenly get more control.
A-La, Star Citizen, Planetary Annihialation, amongst others.
So we do have some big/strong AAA exclusives coming, just not from the greedy publishers. :)

If anyone actually buys one. Not much of a market for those things, and PS4 will always have more exclusives. :)

The system has been out for 3 months bro. Justwait the geniuses within SWS get their games out on the platform. Killzone is still one of the, if not the, best looking next gen title, and technically wasn't even developed on a PS4.

Right, I'm just waiting to see what developers can really squeeze out of that PS4.

I'm actually curious to see if they create games that really look well beyond the X1's capabilities. And not just because of resolution, frame rate, or other visual touches that relatively minor.

I'm not bothered with the X1 being inferior given I'm sticking with it because of Halo, Gears, Titanfall, etc. I'm going to want a PS4 down the road when the games and hardware are cheaper.

Just look at game performance between the two.
