Gee well I'm soo sorry for NOT thinking that bayonetta 2 looks impressive ... /sarcasm Going to PC isn't just for graphics. It's to get more freedom. |
just watched the bayonetta 2 trailer, looks like shit, ugly shit, and the graphics stink, looks like the oginial baynetta with more color, looks dated as heck, the best looking game on wiiu is mario kart 8 by far, its not even close.
Cant wait to play Bayonetta 2, i think it looks great, plenty happening on screen and full of mayhem. And its exclusive to Wii U "HELL YEAH!!!

lol, dont be a meanie. Its nothing revolutionary but the link I posted just highlights how impressive the games framerate is. Thats the only thing worth bragging about, that and the art, everything else is standard fare. It really is. Also, in that video you can clearly see the jaggies throughout though it doesnt matter cause the game looks crisp and sharp, I preffer that over any post process AA that might add some blur.
Anyone who wants too see the game in the best way possible download that video!

that lighting engine is laughable, lets cover everthing with bloom, serously looks like an early 360/ps3 games, everything is so low poly. and i really hate that art style so it even makes it worse.
I was trying to pull up that one thread I made awhile ago about X and bump it after seeing the X video but can't find it.
I'm sure there are people who remember i t because it had a lot of replies, but remember the one where I said don't expect X to look as good as it did in the E3 Nintendo Direct and made comments about how other games graphical quality looked better but then the game came out and the graphics were worse, mentioned Killzone 2, Forza 5, and even mentioned that I've seen it on a Zelda game.
Well. After seeing the new X gameplay, it's clear that the graphics are worse than the old E3 video. Ground textures are worse, less foliage on the ground, etc. People were mentioning it because of how good the graphics in that E3 video looked and while with worse graphics people will say they don't care so long as it's a good game. I do want to say I told you so.
It's still a Wii U game I'm interested in though. Just graphics took a dive.

All I'll say is its a clean and sharp looking last gen game with lots of specatcle running at a solid 60fps. It get points on scale and flashyness but nothing else, the water when she battles the sage is basically like the fountain stage in Tekken Tag 2 for example >_>.
Thy shalt purchase le game but Im not fooling myself here.

The Wii U has the power to render a game world in which the only real advantage the PS4/XBox1 has is in the details. That is a pretty good summary of everything I've ever said. This is why seeing these games makes me laugh at people calling the Wii U underpowered. If my show continues and grows (and it may not, it may end up being something I'll have to call it quits on if the views and subscribers don't roll in on a growing scale), I had every intention of playing this perspective. I had planned to show off Bayonetta 2 and 'X' to people, but make sure the console was hidden, and ask them what system they think the game is on. I know that this episode would have created a flurry of responses, but show the reality of media and biased perception against reality. |
Of course it's just details, that's how graphics improve. The only difference between the graphics of the original Tomb Raider on PS1 and the reboot on PC at max settings are details: More detailed character models, more detailed environments, more detailes textures, more detailed shadows, more particle effects, etc. If you're going write off the graphical improvements that the PS4 would alow as just details, you might as well say the same about the differences between PS1 graphics and PS4 graphics.
Of course, if you mean that the extra details would be too small to make a notable difference in a game like Bayonetta 2, I'll have to agree with you, but then again I really don't care about graphics. For X, on the other hand, I think the extra power of the PS4 or XBOne could be really helpful, like it is for all open world games. More power means a bigger draw distance, bigger world, more enemies on the screen, more enemies on the map (I don't think there were ever more than a dozen enemies in the game at any one time in Xenoblade), shorter loading times, better enemy and ally AI, in addition to the obvious graphical improvements.
I will be hated for this, but after playing Killzone Mercenary on my Vita, nothing will ever impress me on the WiiU.
Dont get me wrong, the graphical leap of the PS4/Xone is pretty poor too IMO, but at least I can see a real leap.
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
