Uncharted movie still happening

Film adaptation of Uncharted series still alive; new director reportedly attached to the project.

The movie adaptation of action-adventure game Uncharted is still alive, and will allegedly be getting a new director. Seth Gordon, who directed Horrible Bosses and Identify Thief, is the latest name to be attached to the film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gordon is "in final negotiations" to direct the Uncharted film. The movie has undergone several director changes in the past, with Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist) previously attached to the film, following David O Russell (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Silver Linings Playbook) dropping out of the project. Actresses Amy Adams and Scarlett Johansson were also reportedly considered for the role of journalist/love interest Elena Fisher.

Developer Naughty Dog revealed the latest entry to the Uncharted series in a teaser trailer last year. The game is being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Sony has not yet confirmed a release date.

Do you still want an Uncharted movie or do you think it should just be scrapped?

This is what's happening to all these modern licensed big productions; they jumb between directors and cast, get tossed between studios and so forth, for years and years, and then everyone simply loses interest.
I mean; how long have they been talking about a Halo and World of Warcraft movie?

Do I want one though? Perhaps, depends on a lot of things, most licensed movies are not very good though.

No, they never get game movies right and if they do its rare as hell.

Yes, I want it. But I would prefer a God of War movie for sure. When I watched Clash of The Titans the only thing I could think was that it was like GOW without Kratos.

Are they going to call it Romancing The Stone 3: Drakes Fortune?
