Those are the rules and we must abide by them, if not the Vgchartz Hitman will find you.

As i said, if you can reference the hype from this site then do so.  Ill reference 10x as much downplay.  My guess is ill win by a pretty large margin.

God forbid anybody criticizes Titanfall. Most of it is just people saying it is not that great or its overrated, much like how people think that 2013 GOTY, the last of us, is super overrated. The difference being that Titanfall has not released yet but with the beta coming this friday, we can finally see if this game will really be the next big thing.

I think many non-shooter gamers will agree that it's not exactly breaking the mold. Also, as somebody mentioned, with the amount of hype this game is getting, there are lots of people trying to downplay it.

Well Ive been watching the beta streams and I see some people's fears don't seem to be the case.

maps looks pretty big but pilot encounters are often.

Game looks fun, cod on rooftops with twice the amount of bullet damage to kill. hope I get a beta invite......

Sure, the down play has been massive lately, but if you're not blinding by the hype you'll understand why. And i agree, people are trolling to troll. But the hype extends farther than this site, and many might be down playing here because this is where they hang out.

And because we can't shoot through a brick wall?  It's purely because it's not on ps4 PERIOD>

It's getting downplayed because it is a exclusive Xbox One game. That simple, the game has not been tried but all reviews say it's great. However I don't doubt a bunch of Sony fans will never play it but yet go get some random article from another pro sony site to prove there point. It will be great.

The reason why I occasionally bash Titanfall is because it was set up to be one of the Big Things of the 8th Generation, which made it a big target, and leaks such as the sub-1080 resolution, 6 vs 6 multiplayer, etc. just give ammunition.

That said, I feel the game gets a bit much hate considering what other titles get off scott free.

And no, I will not name those other titles.

Because it's not on the PS4 so all the fanboys are hating on it to justify their console of choice. If this game was multiplatform or a PS4 exclusive, the hype would be astronomical.

It goes both ways. This game has been hyped as the second coming of gaming jeebus to the point where two friends of mine, both Xbox One owners, can't even express any amount of negativity towards the game without some other Xbox fan grabbing a torch and pitchfork and wanting to run them out of town because they're "obviously just butthurt PlayStation fanboys". Then there is the other side who won't even give the game a chance simply because it's not on a PlayStation platform.

The real problem here is that both the overzealous supporters and the critics in denial have created a toxic atmosphere where you really can't say anything about the game that isn't wanting its babies or hoping it dies. You're not allowed to have any other opinions. You're either with them or against them. It's pretty pathetic behavior from members of both fanbases. Hell, I can't even say I'm getting it on PC without someone claiming I'm a liar who doesn't have a PC that can run the game.
