Forums - Sales - PS4 Overtakes XB1 in Australia | PS3 Best Selling Console Again

PlayStation Australia today revealed that the PlayStation range held for the third year running the top position in the interactive entertainment category in 2013.

On top of that, the PlayStation 3 was the highest-selling console for the year, also for the third straight year.

NPD Group Australia also revealed that the PS4 had overtaken the Xbox One in the sales stakes, making it the most popular next-generation console as stock becomes more readily available in the country, topping off a wonderful trifecta for the company.

PS4 overtaking the xbox one is really really sad, considering the PS4 is sold out until march https://ebgames.com.au/ while the xbox one is available right now.

I'm in Australia and it's clear that the PS3 is the best value console. Free online, amazing game selection, you can get one for <$200 with a game (I did) and not to mention PS+. You could seriously just buy a PS3, hard disk and PS+ sub and be set for a year of great games for around AU$320. You don't even have to buy games.

It may not have Mario, Zelda, Gears or Halo, but Sony's first party studios have really been stepping it up lately (I'm really talking about Naughty Dog here). TLOU was my reason for getting a PS3 and it was one of the most incredible experiences I've had and definitely my GOTY.

I can see why the PS4 is selling so well. Not because it's an amazing piece of hardware or its game line up, but because of the PS3 and how incredible that console has become.

Weird.  I can only see the first line in your post.  And here I can see everything.

It's because of the "less than" $200, the forum thinks he's putting code in from there.
