No it is not, that's the thing :)

You can argue with stats/metrics (because this is what you are talking about), the game is the SAME. And even if on the PS4 for instance, a game is running at 1080p with a super-upper FPS of 60. The guy who is playing it on the Xbox One will NOT not have an "inferior" experience because he cannot compare it and he does not care for the most part (esp. when the game experience is very good anyway even if not at 1080p); so we are back to exactly what I said, stats and metrics over gameplay and experience...

And be open minded lol... "I actually don't understand why anyone would get an xbox over a ps4". You thought the same with the PS3 by the way, you are just completly one sided obviously... You know, it is easy for a lot of people to understand why someone would take any product over another one, Xbox One offers a different experience and if someone cares about the games that are only on Xbox One, or prefers the Microsoft eco-system or even this all-in-one media device, etc. (I can go on...) they will choose it over the PS4. Having the Xbox One not appealing to you is undestandable, not understanding why people have different tastes/expectations is just plain weird...

This is true opinions are not facts BUT...you can't say that while you are kind of doing the same with basing your opinions as "facts". You have said multiple times that the system has no games...outside of Knack and Killzone...which is not true at all. Warframe is lots of fun, so is Resogun. And for me KillZone: SF was the deal breaker for the mulitplayer! I am a huge KZ fan and was VERY disappointed in KZ3 while KZ:SF has been great for me! The single player campaign was mediocre but the MP is back close to how it was on KZ2 which was AMAZING.

But anyway the point is MOST people in here are arguing opinions as facts which is silly. To some it has no games to others the games it has are great and there are more games coming in the near future. It is all about personal taste that's what it boils down to. But I feel your points though!

Sony, price, and MS's colossal misfire on the Xbone original plan.

It's the cheapest next gen console not counting Wii U, so that gets a lot of people interested. But I think one of the bigger advantages is the slew of bad press around MS when they revealed the Xbone. I had a PT retail job on the side this holiday season for some extra cash plus discounts and it was amazing to me how many people still thought at launch that the Xbone would not play used games and required a 24/7 broadband Internet connection and you'd never be able to rent, loan out, or borrow games. I think this lead to tons of people shying away from the Xbox brand.

All that aside, I listed Sony because they are still of course a big force in the industry.

In my opnion PS3 years from 2009 to 2013 showed what the true gamer wants! mainly in 2013 when Xbox and Nintendo didn't have anything interesting as PS3 this year with The Last Of Us, game of the generation + tons of exclusives... Obviously everybody wants to buy the next installment of the Game Of The Generation...

Plus it has the brightest line in the end of the tunnel

As for me, I might like one system a little more than another just becuase the games on that system might appeal to me more, but being breand loyal is just stupid.  That company you love so much has you right where they want you and you don't even see it.

Actually...

It means that the brand is consistent and has far and away proven itself to be the best for the person, at least. I'm loyal to Playstation as a brand, because with Playstation, be it PS1,2,3, I got the best gaming experiences offered in any of their generations. It would only make sense to expect the PS4 to do the same - and with the surge the PS3 had post-2010, the amount of people expecting great things from the PS4, has grown significantly. When Sony showed that they're gonna have a myriad of things to offer with the PS4, the faith and confidence strengthened. Greatness Awaits® is, in fact, the perfect slogan Sony could push.

Their competition has been very rough and tumble in comparison, also. Didn't help X1 or WiiU, but helped the PS4 in droves.

Specs, resolution, power, price, variety of games (including unreleased), value (ps+), basically all the things gamers look for in consoles. Sony made a game of the year in TLOU towards the end of the consoles life cycle, MS basically abandoned the 360 the last bunch of years. I think a lot of people remember that.

Cause PS3/360 were awesome systems less gen, and PS4 is going to have the same type of 3rd party games that made those 7th gen systems awesome.

Why is PS4 pwning XBO? Better graphics for a smaller price, people don't want Kinect, and speaking from experience a lot of 360 owners are probably switching over because of reliability issues/bad customer service with Microsoft.
