Actually...
It means that the brand is consistent and has far and away proven itself to be the best for the person, at least. I'm loyal to Playstation as a brand, because with Playstation, be it PS1,2,3, I got the best gaming experiences offered in any of their generations. It would only make sense to expect the PS4 to do the same - and with the surge the PS3 had post-2010, the amount of people expecting great things from the PS4, has grown significantly. When Sony showed that they're gonna have a myriad of things to offer with the PS4, the faith and confidence strengthened. Greatness Awaits® is, in fact, the perfect slogan Sony could push.
Their competition has been very rough and tumble in comparison, also. Didn't help X1 or WiiU, but helped the PS4 in droves.
